  • not mark hamill. /thread

  • this joker is more like the creeper from the old batman

  • This was the Joker I grew up with

  • Comment removed

  • 0:35 scary as fuck

  • I clicked on a video saying "best animated Joker" Where's Mark Hamill's Joker?

  • Are you serious? This joker is terrible. Mark Hamill Joker was classy, sophisticated and STILL INSANE. It made him scary because he could blend in when he wanted. This is a punk emo wanna be. The design is horrible. The Joker gang in Batman Beyond had was better than this. I will admit that the voice actor is decent but he still doesn't compare to Mark.

  • "why so serious son!......he came to me with the knife and said":WHY SO SERIOUS SON!" "he stuck the blade in my mouth and said.....:"let`s put a smile on my face!"

  • i like this joker because in the comics even though jokers past is somewhat unknown it is said that he was posabley in the army so has great hand to hand combat skills.

  • KMR was good, but Hamill will always be better

  • love the design its like a REAL joker makes jokes does things alone is scary as fuck if mark hamil did hes voice i would really loved it :D

  • And we're looking for... videos with titles that are false statements.

  • 1:41 "i'm outta gas" :'(

  • nothing. NOTHING beats the animated series joker kev mike is great but mark hamill made it insanely artful. nice look to this one, especially for this animation style but not as epic as the animated series style

  • i kinda like this joker he added a new way for this series

tru he is not as good as the last animated joker but he is good enough for the new cartoon

  • I hate this Joker

  • This guy was a fuck up.

  • Why was this joker half monkey?

  • 1:12

    No...

  • this guys better than Mark Hammil at least! Hammil made him a dumb comedy character who trips over him self half the time! batman doesnt even need to try to beat him! this joker can at least fight back!

  • 1. Mark Hamill

    2. John DiMaggio

    3. John Kassir

    4. Kevin Michael Richardson

    5-13 The others

    14. Brent Spiner (Get it together Data!)

  • @DavKellar You know I hated Brent Spiner voicing The Joker. Worst Joker Voice Ever!

  • 96 people did not watch their pinkies.

  • what's weird is the first season when Penguin beats Batman like 4 times in hand to hand combat...this is a good kids Joker but possibly the worst animated one. Not that it's not good, but Mark Hamill kicks ass and Dimaggio's timing is superb

  • Mark Hamill was the best for sure! Next I would have to go with John Dimaggio. Epic performance in Under the Red Hood. This Joker has way too deep of a voice, and just looks too f*ckin goofy. The beginning when he was in the cell was pretty good, but all down hill after that.

  • While the agility and sense of humor are keen, the Joker is still supposed to be a gangster, with goons and supposed to be a little more...murdery.

  • This was the best Joker? he's ok i like him but the best was the 90's Mark Hamil Joker.

  • Thumbs up if you agree this is better than The Young Justice Joker.

  • @ceitiosaurus ANYTHING is better than that Joker.

The best part of this Joker is vocal performance. Everything else is just so.... aaaarrrrggghhhh.

  • @MCMushiMo I dunno Jeff Bennett wasn't all that spectacular

  • whats the name of this episode ??

  • @monopolimona The Bat in the Belfry, the first episode

  • Good thing about this Joker was they were trying something new with him and overall it wasn't all that bad. Him being more acrobatic was fitting since he is a clown and all. The crazy look was nifty for the style too.

Bad thing about him was how often he appeared in the show. The other animated series didn't even show him that much. But THE Batman had Joker almost ever other episode. And over time he stopped being less himself and more a poor attempt at copying the traditional Joker.

  • idk about the best of all time but this was a hell of an awesome joker. I think it was a great version

  • Who cant love this joker when he says: But what do you gonna do lock me in the looney bin?I'm already here

  • I dunno why everyone hates the dreadlocked hairstyle so much. The idea was for it to resemble a harlequins hat (minus the bobbles thankfully) I think it also does a lot of things with the image of the Joker that they took on board for the Dark Knight, the fact that isn't very well groomed and doesn't really care. And i can't end this without praising Kevin Michael Richardson his range as a voice actor is phenomenal. I've heard his work in many different things and he never sounds the same twice.

  • No ... Mark Hamill ... He is the greatest animated Joker of all time! Just as Heath is the best film Joker!

  • Guys just face it!

This is not a Cartoon this is a Anime,so it needs fighting thats why they all know kong fu

  • @danluen what the fuck is an anime? this is a batman cartoon.

  • @Kilox1000 Anime is a term for Japanese cartoons. Considering this is an American cartoon, I have no idea what danluen was talking about.

  • @danluen this is anime LMFAO....bro i watched anime and draw manga for a living this isnt anime. anime is something made in japan by the japanese. or has japanese styled art. The Batman doesnt have any of those.

  • This Joker had some pretty good moments and i don't mind him,but it's total bull that he's the best. Anyone hear ever see Batman: the Animated Series? That right there is the best Joker, for sure. Well I guess he's the Joker from the DCAU,since he appeared in the other shows that tied in with that one.

  • i didn't really like this one. i like the classic joker better

  • One of my personal favorites. People were WAY too hard on this show.

  • I agree mark hamil al the way and after him John dimagios portrayal

  • I always liked this Joker too. It looks like he walked out of LoZ: The Wind Waker.

  • mm, sorry. Can't agree on this being the "best" portrayal of Joker. Mark Hamill's Joker will always have a place in my heart. This one can't really compete with his, Heath Ledger's, or John DiMaggio's Joker.

  • I'm sorry mr. king of Belgium but this isn't the best joker and I'm not gonna say that Mark Hamil's joker is the best like everyone else, no, in actuality i believe that John DiMaggio's joker from under the red hood is the best joker

  • I screwed myself

  • best drawing of him ever

  • Yeah......no.

  • I'm sorry but the original Animated series Mark Hamill Joker will always be the best in my eyes. Just my opinion though, I love the classics.

  • i love the animation and character design in this show but after watching heath ledger nothing can cut that. i know i'm not suppose to compare a cartoon to the movie but i just can't help it.

  • This Joker was amazing! Actually these series were amazing period!

  • worst joker ever

  • While I may disagree with the title, Kevin Michael Richardson did a brilliant job with Joker here. He definitely stands out among the various Jokers we've seen, though to me, Mark Hamill's reigns supreme

  • I like the video but it could use a different title. We've seen so many different versions of the Joker, I find it hard to establish a "better version". The legendary Mark Hamill's version showed a sleek & devious side with the (let's face it) best laugh of them all. Nickolson's version was a more "ring leader of the circus" vengeful version. Ledger's was the anarchist and chaotic version. This was the simply crazed, wild side. To me, I love them all.

  • so wrong.. so wrong.. i mean i guess i can get over the dumb look, but i mean cmon batman sounds like a little kid. and the story is extremely wrong. like badly wrong. but i guess this is what separates the 90s kids and the panzy kids today

  • I LOVE THIS JOKER and series... Mark Hamill has some serious competition this one is crazier than ever and has EPIC hair... i'm totally honest this is my favorite Joker <3

  • This is an interesting take on joker. i still prefer the mark hamill joker, but this guy takes a lot of inspiration from haqmill. in fact there were times when he sounded just like hamill's joker. Seeing as how hamill has given up the throne, whoever voiced this joker may be able to succeed the throne and claim the title.

  • Pffft! Mark Hamill > all the others COMBINED!! The rest are posers compared to him.

  • "Smile, Gotham!!"

  • 'Coming out party'-Loooooool XD

  • Depends on your definition of the word "Animated." Cartoon? no, Movement? yes

  • What was this serie called?

  • @MrNR96 The Batman

  • This is by far the Heath Ledger to Mark Hamill's Jack Nicholson but by comparring both new jokers of the time, Ledger's joker spreads anarchy and chaos while KMR's joker actually "Is" anarchy and chaos. Okay I kinda got that from the NC but the same can be true about this I mean this guy is sooo comically crazy yet so deviously intilligent and thirsty for blood that there isn't that big a differance he's still the joker.

  • i'm not a fan of the "feral" joker. just don't like this one. joker can be insane, but i loved him silly, not....goofy...

  • hehe I liked this series when I was little. My all time favorite is the 90's animated Batman series though. Hes more mature and mysterious whereas this batman just seems like a younger version.

  • ooh tough crowd xD

  • who else got the shit scared out of them when he turned the doctor around?

  • sorry but Kevin Michael Richardson to me will ALWAYS be Cleveland Jr & Mark Hamill IS the joker HANDS DOWN

  • i adore this Joker, hes crazier then the original one. much less rational.

    a true Psychopath.

is this one the best? no, Mark Hamill's is obviously, but hes done now, and now we need a new one.

i vote this one..........that or the one from the Red Hood.

  • This one looks like some weird anime monkey hobo bob marley thing. I'll stick with my classy TAS version, thank you.

  • - Knock knock.

    - Who's there?

    - THE GODDAMN BATMAN!

  • @TeamMarshMallon with Wrath's voice

  • I wouldn't say he's better than Mark Hamill's Joker. But he's definitely a refreshing alternative. The dialogue and the voice are really good.

  • love this joker, he be a crazay man.

  • batman did use gadgets to help him beat his opponents but they were never the solution to the problem too many episodes in this series played out like this villain pops up batman engages batman gets ass whooped batman goes home builds something knew and beats villain i mean it was alright until he brought in the fucking giant bat mech that was when it started getting retarded also the villains joker aside were never as rememerable because there was no emotion aside from clayface

  • I like this interpretation of the joker seeing joker actually go one on one with batman and match him combat wise was pretty impressive and something I wasn't use to seeing however this series as a whole not for me batman in this series never felt like batman he was never really threatening and honestly all I saw was bruce wayne in a suit batman in tas was batman he and bruce wayne were too separate people entirely also i didn't like the over use of bat gadgetry in this series in other series

  • I do not care for the voice for this joker.

  • you serious?

  • who put the stoner on roll call duty?

  • Still better that the Joker from Young Justice.

  • TAS is by far better, but I still like this show. I like how they made this Joker a fighter unlike the others.

  • the animation and models suck....this show sucks

  • @Lowlightnight tell me about it

  • Hamil's Joker can fight for himself, though. He's gotten the upper hand on Batman several times.

  • One thing I truly love about this Joker is that he's more hands on with fighting Batman and doesn't leave it to his henchmen all time.

  • Never caught this show, but it just seems lackluster beside TAS. If it was wholly original it would be cooler.

  • Kevin Michael Richardson's Joker is the most batshit insane one. He is the best Joker imo.

  • KMR did an amazing job with the character in this show. He had enormous shoes to fill, and he borrowed and changed enough from all the previous Jokers to make this one his own. He's not my favorite, but he's way up there!

  • interesting how every villain in this show knows kung fu. I liked it on joker but penguin? come on

  • then again... I love kung fu

  • @Seanitodancer Basically every villain in Batman can fight though, including the Penguin. You don't become a super villain without being able to handle yourself against your henchmen

  • @Seanitodancer

he said he learned it in the Orient.

  • @Seanitodancer For Joker it's fucking righteous; for Penguin...it's kind of annoying.

  • Not a fan of this show, but I like how Joker's movements are really twitchy and erratic.

The voice changing pitch is a nice touch, too--really highlights how messed up he is.

  • this version of the character seems more dark and like if he steps wrong he'll lose his mind...this version of the character is amazing

  • This Joker's got a good sense of humor, seems to be a legitimate physical threat for once, only complaint I have is the laugh. Takes a few seconds to really start sending chills down your back. I'm more used to feeling a chill the moment the laughs start, but maybe that's just nostalgia talking. Still, I think it's about neck and neck with the Joker from Under the Red Hood, and damn close to the old animated series.

  • I don't mind his voice... but I don't like joker being an ape. T-T

  • OK SO Here's the deal, We know Mark Hamill is good, but This Joker is fucking awesome, his voice is more dark, and his character is much more insane, I wish they continued The Batman series. Out of all the Jokers I reckon this one is the best!. The 1 which we should all be hating on is that bullshit kiddy crap Brave and Bold version, that whole series was garbage. Warner Bros. is going to start a new series "Beware the Batman" now and thats going to be shit aswell, because ther is no joker story

  • @rohannesburg What are you smoking, saying that this joker even comes close to Mark Hamill's joker. Are you nuts? this is probably the worst joker design ever!

  • this joker is just joker with a worse voice, a monkey body and no class.

  • Joker just needs a more hazy voice IMO

  • At first I hated this Joker, but the more I watched the more I liked this version - I like that he can really hold his own against Batman in a fight (unlike TAS Joker, who if he ran out of tricks/gadgets, he could usually be taken out with a couple punches) and, unlike the Joker in TAS, he's not smacking around Harley Quinn every chance he gets.

  • This cartoon is horrible! Batman tas or nothing

  • i like this joker, some of his dialogue is so cool and straight from the comic book pages. I still think that the Mark Hamill Joker is the top of the class though (for the batman beyond stuff alone). The look, style and mannerisms all win out. This is a (dare i say it) darker edgier Joker more in tone with the recent comic depictions than the amalgamation of the Jokers that the animated series had.

  • I love this Joker above all other versions. He's so smooth and agile; and, to me, he seems darker and more unstable than the original. I want to cuddle him :3

  • I like this joker, awesome hair, and the harley in this series is adorable!!!

  • this joker was awfull and looked terrible mark hamill was the best and looked cooler this one looks like a retard

  • I personally think, if your playing or portraying the Joker..... you simply cannot be a bad Joker..... lol

  • this joker is one combat then sadistic

  • Definitely a close second to Hamill's Joker in my opinion. It could've worked out pretty well in the long term had they given Richardson more time to play other Joker variations.

  • I love Kevin Michael Richardson, but this isn't my fav Joker

  • BTAS Joker > The Batman Joker > John Dimaggio's Joker

That's not to say any of them are particularly bad as they were all unique and interesting.

  • He's a close second to Mark Hamill's Joker.

    Hamill>Richardson>Others

  • This is my fav joker besides the joker from red hood! :D

  • can anyone see that this tv show reimagined the characters plus try comparing some of the skinny insane people from arham asylum to this joker

  • Regardless of how you feel about this Joker, I think you can't help but love his voice. I mean, the way it fluctuates from goofy to creepy? Awesome. Especially since that voice sounds nothing like KMR looks. And the way his haphazard fighting style flops around like that and yet is so deadly... pretty cool. Hamill is classic, but this guy is really impressive.

  • 2:32-2:41 Man! That part was really awesome. =D

  • Not the best Joker at all. The one from Batman TAS by Mark Hamill trumps this one PERIOD.

  • Love Joker. I love his personality. I love how goofy he is. I think this Joker did it just right.

  • listen to his laugh 4:20 tell me if that is not an insane laugh

  • Mix this one up with Hamill's voice and you'd have my favorite joker of all time.

  • well now, if this isnt how shaco was concieved then I dont know what he could of been

  • He's the most initially amusing Joker; however, he is also the most shallow joker. Period. He does keep the same level of insanely amazing entertainment, but he simply doesn't show any dementia ( as in grief wise, he is definately insane and crazy enough in the joking way)

  • Best Joker & Best Batman Series nuff said..

  • I really thought that last part was going to rhyme.

  • Mark Hamill. . . All I gotta say.

  • Whether the best or not, the fact that this incarnation of the Joker is (as of today) the most physical one was what I really found refreshing about this redesign. To each his own; I don't think he surpasses Hamill, but Kevin Michael Richardson's performance is amazingly energetic and insane and I believe his Joker's design translated it pretty good on the screen.

  • This joker is good, only this :GOOD

The Joker from Batman animated series is the best, he is funny, crazy and amazing. This joker have a good design, and a nice voice ,and this joker know how to fight (this joker is good fighter) But Always the Mark Hamiil joker is the best

This series have ONLY a best killer croc only this.

  • i think dimmagios was the best

this one is really cool to

  • Not better than Mark Hamill's versions, but better than the Batman:BATB

  • To be fair to the series it was not that bad, however this Joker is heinous. He is nothing like joker should be, Joker was insane but he also carried himself with class. He was demented but he wasn't just some nut in a costume with a skin problem. He had motivation and a sick sense of humor which drove him. His whole villainous career revolved around getting Batman to kill him because he thought his struggle would be funny, even if it meant he died. He is a psychopath, this guy is a fucking joke

  • dont u mean the worste

  • This isn't my favorite joker ever, but I really like his laugh.

  • Look, everybody who says 'This Joker sucks' and all. This is a different show. Yeah, it's about Batman but the idea of this one is that it doesn't follow the comics. No doubt, Mark Hamill's Joker is unbeatable but this version is good as well. Yeah, he gets goofy sometimes but so did the Hamill's Joker. And actually, there is no point in comparing these two shows. They're just different, that's all.

  • @Cartoonfangirl007 Hell, this Joker even REFFERENCES Hamills Joker from time to time, like with the fishes.

  • I this joker is really cool, but no, he's not a patch on Hamil's. The thing is, almost every interpretation of the Joker, regardless of medium, is amazing. The character just brings the best out of voice actors, designers, animotors, actors etc. He's that good.

  • Mark hamill then John dimmagios joker. This joker was eh.

  • I hated this joker because they depicted him as a fucking MONKEY! Mark Hamil's joker will always be the best depiction of joker in an animated series.

  • I really love this show AND B:TAS. as such I love both Jokers. I like Hamill's more though, but both are really good. I like this one way more than DiMaggio, even though he did an okay job.

  • This one was great, but since Mark is gone (and shall be missed) I think John DiMaggio should take over :)

  • this Joker was more of a martial arts chimp flipping around, he could fight for himself, but I couldnt grasp this Joker, I mean, he had all the trappings of a great joker, I just couldnt get this one's punchline.

  • @RAPTOR948 same thing with this version of Penguin. oringinally Penguin was at best a fencer when using his umbrella, but 'the Batman's' Penguin is a freaking kung fu master. the kabuki twins were kinda neat but they were made superfluous when Pengy could toe-to-toe with Bats.

as for this guy, he seems more 'acrobat' then 'clown'

  • This Joker is much more like a traditional "joker" or "jester", and KMR does indeed nail the Joker laugh.

  • While he does give off the "joker" feeling, i think he is sloppy, the jokers persona is really a satire on the elegant upper class, hence his trademark suit, in my opinion, the mark hamil, and john dimaggio jokers are better, one for the amazing voice acting, while the other still captures the joker essence

  • He's GOT to be a close second in my book!

He doesn't have the brains or the class of Hamill's Joker, but he's still clever enough to compete with Batman. but THIS joker isn't afraid to do his own dirty work.

This Joker could beat Hamill's in hand to hand, but it'll always be brain over brawn for me. :D

  • Considering that this Joker is something very different from the others I think they did a very good job with him. I wouldn't say that he's the best, no but I would say that I do think he something very enjoyable to watch. He's very energetic and is a mix of a lot of other Jokers not only thay I'd say they gave him a damn good voice to back him up, one which suits the style of a very crazy and lively Joker.

  • WORST JOKER AND WORST BATMAN

  • seriously gotta say i always wondered about da freaky monkey climbing abilites..jus doesnt seem like joker

  • I really like the Redesigns on the characters that The Batman brought out, just makes them look cooler.

  • Both the worst joker and the worst batman ever.

  • ... Nah, first Hamill, then Ledger, then Nicholson, then DiMaggio, then this guy.

  • Mark Hamill is the best, but Kevin Michael Richardson did a very good job.

  • Could you, possibly, make a tribute to the Riddler in this show? Please?

  • And once again I see the fan boys rally on like TAS is the only Batman show to ever have existed. Guys, if this show (or the Joker) isn't TAS it's because it is not supposed to be. While I will agree TAS-joker is the better interpretation, I also know that with a franchise like this needs constant new twists if it is to survive.

Besides, this is the only Joker who can dress up like Batman, parody his every gimmick and almost get away with it (while still being in character).

  • @whotookCheesusChrist I'm with you. John DiMaggio and Kevin Michael Richardson both make good Jokers. And they bring their own style instead of trying to mimmic Hamill.

  • @0peppers Precisely.

  • @whotookCheesusChrist I agree with you too. The fanboys won't be happy until they realize that Mark thrashed his vocal chords doing the Joker once too many times.

  • @aoinatafanboy84 I know! I can't imagine just how groggy his throat is at the moment. And think of Tim Curry! Originally he was supposed to voice mr. J but ended up coughing violently after a few hours of voice-acting. Phew!

  • @whotookCheesusChrist that's not the first time I heard of a difficult time people had voice acting. There are 2 others I know of whom voiced for Dragonball Z and all the yelling and grunts have taken their toll on them. One managed to muscle through it because his voice is naturally deep. The other has more of a higher pitch in his voice and said that all of it nearly killed his voice and was thankful he was only in the movies. I've learned a lot about the trials of voice acting that way.

  • this is the worst joker ever!

  • I like mark Hammil joker the best but this is still a pretty good joker

  • pff this is the worst animation for a batman cartoon.....it doesn't fit at all....and the joker's head is too big he looks like an allien....horrible animation ruins the batman image

  • Great voice, horrible design.

  • this is my fav. joker, way more hands on and he looks more intresting

  • I like the "normal" joker more because this looks like a toy or like a jack-in-the-box! xD
