somebody should get like 20 vr3s from walmart (those 20$ ones that are 12") and put them in a box and put some power through em. i actually bought the two 6s in a vr3 box and 1 12" and put all of em in a box and i take them to about 65v with two really old 6x9s that i used duct tape on em as foam surround and man do they all slap together the 6x9s get like 2 ins and the 12 is broken in so i get about 3ins outta that i cant imagine what 20 broken in vr3 12s could do.
depending on the box alot of subs can take double their daily RMS no problem, but the boxes end up being massive and have to have all the internal baffling for the tunings almost perfect.
@Jacobbz206 That's infact the opposite of true... Smaller net internal volumes yield higher power handling (mechanically) assuming your sub can handle the actual watts (thermally). Larger volume boxes yield higher efficiency + peakyness near tuning frequency.
it looks impressive, but thats cuz its a small sub. it's an optical illusion. it really isn't moving that much. wanna see some real excursion? look up FS3 suspension
