Yes you have to die. If you play infected and get more then 48 kills before you're "infected" then you will only get one MOAB at 24

As far as double moabs, yes you need to die in between. There was a hardline pro glitch where you could get a double moab from that when the game first came out but it has since been patched.

Sharp, the reason Thunder hates on MOABs is because he can't consistently get them, and he realizes that, which is why he has been posting MW2 / BLOPS, he knows that his MW3 content isn't up to par with other "pubstars" so he chooses the cowards way out, hating the game instead of just posting the gameplay he can get.
