@Dinamo988 Because in cheer, you just start with 5,6,7,8. It's so you have a few counts to prepare yourself, but you don't have to start at 1. Does that make sense?

@Dinamo988 Becuase the counts are in eight and if you started from one, you'd have to say "1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8" to prepare yourself and that just takes up too much time. By only doing the four counts and then starting back over at at one, you are saving time and preparing.
