The Fly 2 (1989) was very good movie and I don't understand why so many people hate it. Visual effects were ok and the storyline was smart and interesting. And this movie was scarier than original. Eric Stoltz and Daphne Zuniga were impressive. In some scenes the music reminded me the one from Alien series

was there a tv spot where a mother was singing hush little baby and her voice got really disturbing as it went on. it also may have shown flashes of the movie. someone on imdb said it scared the shit out of them as a kid

I believe that was me who mentioned on the IMDb my childhood experience of watching that creepy TV spot for "The Fly II." The words of the nursery rhyme were, "Hush, little baby, don't be sad/You'll grow up to be like Dad/Hush, little baby, don't you cry/Just because your Dad was THE FLY!!!"

Underrated horror movie. Yes, 1st one had much better storyline but The Fly 2 was good too. The acting was great, especially Daphne Zuniga (Melrose Place) - amazing and very beautiful actress.

When I saw this I think it was when I saw "Aliens." Anyway believe it or not, when the title, the audience laughed their asses off. And when they heard the baby cry, they laughed harder. I was scratching my head thinking, "What's so funny?" Amazing how different reactions can be.

I really liked the first one but the sequel was a more entertaining with a far cooler looking Brundlefly. You're right, trailers for this one were great but creepy.

This was WAY better than the 1986 version. The monster in this one looked kinda like Megagiurus.
