"It's everyone's birthday so nobody is left out!" That is some lame ass shit. I had no friends in elementary school and I'm the better for it. It really built my character. By the time I got to high school I was popular as hell because I had to learned to try to not care what others think of me. It's one thing to prevent brutal bullying, but kids need to not be so protected from feeling a little left out, it teaches skills for the real world.

So of course it's natural that a girl may play with trucks and wear blue, because she wants to be like the superior sex. But as soon as a boy wants to play with dolls or wear clothes that are considered "girly", it's frowned upon. This is simply because women are seen as being inferior.
