    The power to the motor - because its series wound, if we left the power on when we put the clutch in there would be no resistance to the motor... and if you give a series wound motor no resistance it will "run away" in other words... accelerate so fast it destroys itself. Fun fact!

  • If you look into any electric car, they make ridiculous amounts of torgue. The prius has a "fake powerband" or people would just break loose of the line. Nice work on the sol. What motor is it?

    Its a re-wound forklift motor we got donated from a forklift company. 36V series-wound, we're over-volting it to about 72V and it seems to do fine!
