@DroolingBoy EA is the one who didn't want to make NASCAR games anymore. Fans started asking for a realistic racing game which EA sucks at making so they gave up the contract. The new NASCAR game sucks major balls too, though. It seems like true NASCAR fans will never get a good new NASCAR Simulation. Papyrus is still king, even approaching 10 years later.

I should get a PS2 and get my good old NASCAR games back.  I liked NASCAR Thunder 2003 better than 2004. Career Mode didn't seem to be as tough.

@erasetoimprove Yeah the last NASCAR game I had was NASCAR 06 and even then it was getting too easy. Maybe I made the Career Mode in 2004 tougher than it should have been. I always ran out of money trying to buy shop upgrades. lol

@italkart24racer the key was to save up your money slowly and settle for like top 20 finishes for the first season or two. Because once you got some half-decent sponsors you would more easily be able to afford repairs so you could upgrade more quickly.

you cant have either tobacco or alcohol products & they have neither on here yet i think they can get away with saying it so for example if you saw dale jr doing a live challange video he might say budweiser but they would blur it off his uniform but i may be wrong

Reason i think NThunder2004 is great. Photo Finishes (more often), awesome crashes, remake 2003 darlington photo finish in THUNDER CHALLENGES

This game was way too easy on Legendary, unless you were just starting out in career mode. Favorite game I had on PS2 though.

you need to work on your setup you have no speed by the way this isnt legendary.

Here a daytona setup that you can hit 190+ mph without draft

Wedge 4.0 qualify 2.0 race/ rear and front springs 100% /daytona 500 go as far as you can on gas when you pick take no tires just 1 can of fuel lower wedge to 0.0 to block/ this works on legendary and all other difficulties work really well on the first race of career mode try it out tell me wat you think. i have setups for all tracks let me know if you
