Great video. However I am experiencing a problem. When I view the final encoded version of the video I get weird black bars at the bottom and top. I tried uploading it to YouTube but the black bars remain. Any ideas on how I can fix that?

I hate that all these videos show a 20 second video being rendered. I want proof of a ten minute video taking at the most 20-30 minutes, THAT's the shit I wanna see. a 20 second clip proves nothing...NOTHING

Im not sure what is wrong with my computer but when i press "start encoding" it says "this may take some time" and when i click "ok" i see that cmd comes up for less than a second and then it says the compression is done but there is not output file. :/

after recording with sony vegas my clip of 5sec is 512Mo but after step of easyh264 the clip is very hd and just 4.2 Mo :P

Any idea why it turns out as a pure music file even though I follow all steps in your tutorial? It seems both Winamp and MediaPlayer thinks the .mp4 extension means it is music.

I just went back to my old methods and used the converter. The quality shows no difference so don't bother with uncompressed AVI.

I've been using this method for my current videos but for some reason, YouTube screws with some of my videos even though the other videos have the same format. It jitters my audio and lags it all around.

Any ideas? Other than that, the quality is exceptional.

For some reason when i use the setting you have for the video settings when i go use the encoder it does it for like 2 seconds says its done. But it really didn't do anything. For me it only works if i save my project for the template 1080p

but I faced a problen back then when youtube changed the aspect ratio for a few days in 1920x960...

I've been using h264 exactly as you explained and it happened that youtube messed up the sound when activecamerashaking-effect  was used.. but which didn't happen when I rendered in wmv in Vegas, without using h264..

the shaking effect seemed to mess up the framerate, when youtube was uploading the video..

I've had the 32bit version before, on my old pc, but now I am using winxp 64bit, and I was not able to install the Vegas32bit on my 64bit system..

at least the install error popup told me so...

but I am pretty lucky with the 64bit Vegas, it has a lot more effects, just the broken framerate issue bugs me.. a little..

I m pretty cool with wmv (1080p) either...

I run 64bit os with 32 bit vegas, it should never force you to download 64-bit versions as the application doesn't work with some 32 bit plugins.

Well yeah, obviously the .msi (64bit) wont install on 32 bit, but the 32 bit will on the 64, aswell as the 64... Maybe try uninstall 64 and install 32 bit again.
