@daz45 Loll!! i gotta disagree with your statement, double leg and single leg takedowns all come from wrestling, and so does the side controls (If bjj didnt take side control from wrestling, they would be using scarfold which CAN be countered easily if it was no gi) and EVEN THE KIMURA came from wrestling.....Soo i think that in order for bjj and wrestling to develop, they need to take techniques from each other

@daz45 That depends on what kind of wrestling you study.....if its catch wrestling, then its hard to say...Because there are submission in catch wrestling. BJJ relies a lot on wrestling techniques as well...If they go back to the judo throws, it would be ineffective in no gi bjj competition. Anyways, i study bjj and judo and i noticed a lot of things that we do comes from wrestling, soo respect to wrestlers. BUT if wrestling did fight against bjj, it would be hard to say who wins and who loses.

@4indianer I gotta disagree...."Kimura" or double wrist lock was named after Kimura when he first used it on helio gracie to finish the fight. Apparently, Kimura didnt just train jiujitsu and judo, he also trained catch wrestling and other form of grappling. Soo theres a possibility that he go it from catch wrestling because catch wrestling already had the double wrist lock which is exactly like kimura.

nog like all pro fighters would easily destroy and dispose of 99% of people on earth in fights, without guns or knives or a gang of people..The only people nog cant submit are, fedor, and mabye some of the gracie's in a pure grappling match, and josh barnett..Hendo held on so long cause he has great boxing, great takedowns and takedown defense, he also isnt bad on the ground and tried as hard as he could to not get tricked and tried to fight off everything, he has lots of experience
