Hahaha :L the sound effects are brilliant! Excellent model, I was going to do the same thing to my 1/35 Sherman kit. Didn't have any spare radios/recievers lying around though :/
@tankhankman24x Beauty or ugliness is in the eye of the beholder :). I personally love the cute look of M3 stuart. I think the Carro Armato M13/40 , Panzer 35(t) and Panzer 38(t) are much uglier tanks :)
ok sorted drive by connecting either side of drive motors to oVolts but turret control doesn't work no matter how 4 diodes are connected????? The motor shorts the +Volts to the other side??
I use a 3 channel RC board whenever is possible now (e.g. on my T-34, T-26 , Char bis etc). I suggest you finding a 3 channel RC board. It is easier & less headache & less conflicts, plus better performance . Because sometimes for compromised modifications , if it doesn't work, it doesn't work.
hahaha u are no match for my 1/16 scale tiger i role over u like little bug hahaha..........JK....... kool little tank though i'd pay like $45 for one of those... and also, cool halftrack
I live in Canada & bargain parts & surplus merchandise will be completely different on this side of the Atlantic. Any SLOW MOVING electronic toy might be an candidate until Tamiya starts to sell their new smaller gear boxes.
Very nice looking and well detailed Stuart. Driver is on the wrong side....None of the Stuarts had the drivers controls on the right
side and the turret traverse is WAY too fast. Also you really had to tug very hard with both arms and give it a lot of gas to lock up the track as the model does and was very hard on the track, so was not a very realistic method of steering. For a 1;35 RC, still pretty nice.
This is not exactly true because there are so many around that some wind up in E-BAY on & off. For example, even now this minute, there is one available item#300277458016
For me I found M3 Stuart is so much more handsome & good-looking than the M5 Stuart.
Early M-3 Stuarts may have loked better to some, but the armor protedtion was nearly zero. The M-5 provided a sloped, better armored front, included pericopes instead of vision slits and got rid of the deadly bolts.

did you know that the Stuart is one of the most ugliest tank produced in the war, yet it is a durable, hard working tank

is there a place you can buy gearboxes and if so where?
toadstooliv 1 year ago
@toadstooliv Hobby shops and robotics stores sells gearboxes. No small gear box fitting this tank is available on market yet, though.

Is the turret mechanism from a motor / gear box pre built? It looks similar to one I have seen before but cant place it.
tankman35 1 year ago
@tankman35 Yes, it is a pre-built.

Hi
Can you recommend store for parts?
Was it a small toy tank for the gear boxes?

They are in their newer 1/35 ready- to- run RC tank series, not sold as accesaries. Hope they will one-day.

do u think u could do a M5 Stuart tank?
ironwalle 3 years ago
Not too interested in making a M5 Stuart because it is already available in RC, made by a company called 21st Century.

they discontinued it u cant get it anymore
