it's fascinating to see other cultures emulate hip-hop, and see it looks and sounds like once they've put out some tracks. must say, I like a lot of these Taiwanese rappers... TTM and Soft Lipa are my faviorte. I don't know what they're saying, but that's part of what makes it so cool. I just like listening to the lyrical quality.

Now, hip hop means the combination of modern days fashion, music, which is not limited to America, I can't really say where it is originated from.

Generally it was called secular slave songs, for african americans back then to preserve their cultural heritage that was constantly under supression.

The secular slave song was also used to relief stress from work and a way to express their everyday life. However, the form of rap wasn't full developed back then, and the song was sing in traditional african language.
