I don't agree with a lot of these comments. I think RHCP's last few albums have been some of the best rock to come out of the mainstream. They are experimental on a studio level, the rhythm section is worth listening to by itself, and John's way too humble for how fucking well he compliments the rest of the band. I have every album the band has made. Perhaps people hating the new stuff have not really listened to it. Or maybe they dislike a music video or some other ancillary feature

Neil Young sucks and so have the last few RHCP cds. On the last few cds, the guitar was fucking horrible anyway. John lost his magic. And he knew it, that is why he left a sinking ship. They shouldn't even have a guitarist. The magic is gone. Just get up there with Chad and Flea, and have Keidis shoot hot dogs and t-shirts out of a cannon like at baseball games. The greatest funk rock band of all time was over long before John quit.
