  • Man I was at this show...seems almost like yesterday

  • i went to high school with the keyboardist.!! jp stevens ,edison ,N.J.... Dave Rosenthal is his name !!

  • @craigscarpet83 yes you r right from edion nj

  • Hey Roger, Crockett & Tubbs called. They want their wardrobe back.

  • @dcf68 Actually, being that this was shot in 1982, Crockett and Tubbs would have stolen their wardrobe from Roger...PEACE.

  • rainbow

  • I love JLT's voice - still do today. Shivers down my spine!

  • I can't escape your frozen eyes , Great lyrics!! Joe is the good luck charm of every band he's been in, his voice is pure gold baby and he still looks good!!!

  • JLT. the best <3

  • Sorry, but don't much care for this. Sounds like something Foreigner would do.

  • @daven58100 R.Blackmore told in an interview that one of his fav rockbands are foreigner

  • I don`t know wht Ritchie never plays the guitar solo when he performs Stone Cold live. It`s such a great superb solo!

  • I <3 Joe Lynn Turner!

  • Superb!

  • Where's the f-in solo?

  • Is it only me or those girls that sing in the back at times kinda ruin the song, lol Awesome song anyways!

  • I love "foreigner 2." Not as cool as the Dio era, but a world cooler than Graham Bonnet

  • that was an amazing concert!

  • 1982 was the single greatest year for hard rock albums in the 80's, think about it. I love the Child In Time tidbit in the intro.

  • The man is /was 80's interstate great love

  • Saw this concert at the Coliseum in Toronto. It was them and the Scorpions combined. Awesome show! (from what I remember - haha)

  • @pakdalerockergirl toronto was off the chain!

  • GREAT SONG!! THANKS FOR SHARING!! MISS THE 80's!!

  • I was at this show in San Antonio, was in high school at the time. Great show, i believe Saxon opened for them--they were loud and pumping out gigawatts of bass! Started in lower mezzanine and then made way to like 3rd or 4th row, half way thru, and even got pic of the Ritchie furiously jamming away directly beneath the eyes. He was definitely my main hero in those days!

  • @screaminone saxon was good too..what about early queensryche?

  • @KeyWordBiblePrecepts: yes, i have to agree with you. I came to appreciate both of them and some others in the years after."The Eagle Has Landed," "Lady Wore Black" are only a couple of the greater ones to me. Follow link from my channel if you'd like and check my not-perfect-but-good vocal cover of this song.

  • Love Joe Lynn Turner

  • the guy is a chick magnet ;P long live JLT!!!!

  • I kind of remember this concert, It was Great, totaly smoked, they rocked San Antonio

  • Oooooooooooooooooooohhh yeah, this was fun ta play too.

  • JLT Is Perfect - from friend Betty from Rio de janeiro - when will you return - Kisses you are very sweet... miss you a lot...

  • He sports a really nice girlie wig on the Metal Show on cable. Looks like a real pussy.

  • Joey Lynn is Johnny Meatball!

  • Joe Lynn Turner is one of rock's best kept vocal secrets. Great singer - also did some stuff for Yngwie Malmsteen. Love his voice (and cute, too!)

  • Cute!!??? Well there´s no accounting for tastes ... The guy sings well but he was extremely lucky, I guess... In my view he is too soft for either Rainbow ( though he did a good job there) , Purple or Malmsteen

  • i dont thinkhe was to soft for rainbow or malm ,purple maybe. good comment tho

  • OK. Your opinion is valid , of course. Maybe that´s my imprression after listening to other Rainbow´s & Purple´s singers , or because his voice reminds me of AOR vocalists ... I'm not a fan of him but I must admit that the guy must have certainly done something good

because great musicians like Blackmore or Malmsteen chose him for his albums...

  • check out death alley driver, riot in the dungeon, spotlight kid good stuff by joe

  • You're right. WhenI said so I did it ironically. I´m sure he is a good singer , I listened to the songs you recommed and they are great. Tough he is not one of my favourite singers and his voice is not among the ones I like best, I guess he is good at his job... I got Purple's Slaves & Masters and I think his vocals there are fine, obviously in his style, but fine

  • opens with sweet child in time into Stone Cold. even purple syrup tastes good

  • Still in Love with this band! I had such a crush on Joe Lynn, these guys really know how to rock!

  • utubenoobie01!

    you're definitely right, man;)

Also listen the Deep purple: King of dreams album. It's also fantastic

  • i saw Joe Lynn Tyrner in octobe with over the rainbow and his voice is still awesome

  • My number 2 fave singer of all time, after the master Dio himself, of course.....

Singers like this are all but gone I'm afraid.

  • One of the best singers of all time!!

  • Master Turner's voice is so classic! He should be fronting for somebody; i miss him.

  • Great tour with Scorpions opening Blackout album

  • Where was Blackmore's solo?

  • maybe he wasn't in the mood to play it :))

this thing happened a lot during his Deep Purple years

  • best album was Down To Earth!!

  • LOL. Maybe, but the talent blows away most of today's groups.

  • @jt1775 isnt that the truth!

  • @jt1775 man you 're wright there's nothing nowadays that can be called new!

  • maybe. but it also ROCKS! hehe

  • rainbow - straight between the eyes!!!

    still a good album

  • I agree. Just listened whole album. Still kicks ass.

  • wow!takes me way the fuck back!

  • No solo god dam. Stille Ritchie, your the man. Only and one Rainbow, Turner and Blackmore.!!!

  • nice intro with child in time...

    greetss

  • Ritchie, go dam. No solo, but still the best.

  • Great song, love the Child In Time intro.

  • In the begining David Rosenthal plays ''Child in Time'' from Deep Purple!!!

  • many mics to be used and Joe like the old shure 57. Maybe he was a Paul Rodgers fan who i think he record Bad COmpany first record with one of those.

Those mics make you sound thin.

  • They don't pop and gdzztt, when you have a powerfull voice.

Maybe that was all what's left, Ritchie hid all the good mics under his seat in the tour bus. To piss off the singers..

    hehehe.

  • hahahaha...Damn Ritche!!

  • Joe,

I love your song and video of Stone Cold. It was great meeting you after the show at South Bend and I look forward to seeing and meeting you in Nashville.

    Luv ya,

    Pam

  • I snuck out of the house with some friends to go see them in concert...Great night!!!

  • Joe Lynn Turner... one of my favorite singers of all-time. That dude can straight up sing his ass off. I love this song, btw.

  • F^ckin Joe Lynn Turner and Ritchie, what can you say. They found there Rainbow!!!!

  • I think Rainbow have many songs full of that special atmosphere I cant describe. Dont know how they arrived to make it. But I dont know any band that would have so many atmospheric songs as Rainbow. Long live Ritchie and his bandmates.

  • the way he shakes his crotch is sexy

  • I try to run from RAINBOW But never didnt that. Thanks

for this videos.I am fan till the last breath.Long live rock and roul and KOSOVA.

  • I saw them in the 80's at the Garden (MSG) with the Scorpions. I was 22 and my date was 24 I felt like we were so old. Most of the audience were teenagers. But i loved it!!!!!!!!

  • I was there....stoned out of my mind but they were great...we had a blast!!!!!!!

  • I'm a big fan of Rainbow, but this is awful. The sound wasted, and where's the guitar solo?

  • Well Ritchie wasn't in the mood. LOL!

  • In my opinion, one of the "most overlooked" (hard) rock/metal bands.

  • como siempre el maestro joe lynn turner deleitandonos con su magistral voz.

  • One of my fave songs EVER! Thanks SO much!!!

  • This concert is amazing! I'm in love with this song
