Now if you remember something in your childhood it obviously falls under one or more of these catergories. Now certain catergories or multiple ones have a stronger affect on your memory and therefore makes it easier to remember. Hearing is not a strong memoery

My math was correct, my assumption was not. But I find it unbelievable you heard this song when you were nine, yet kept thinking of it until you were 41. That is a long time to remember a song in hopes to find it again. But the most unlikely part is the 9 year old part. I am in psychology and you dont remember much during those ages once you are in adulthood.

This morning, while watching the morning news in bed, my ears caught the chorus and I quickly ask my wife to mute the TV. I tell my wife, "you hear that?!.... do you hear that?!.... that's the song i've been asking you about!!". I quickly go to the living room, and its my 6 yr old daughter playing Just Dance 2 on the Wii - that they got for Christmas... and for the first time I read the name and artist... and now after 32 years since i last heard the song, I get to enjoy it again!

In 1978 I was 8 yrs old and I lived in Mexico. A friend had this single and would play it often. in 1979 my family moved to the US. I have always remembered the tune of the chorus, but not words. My wife, who is a huge fan of 70s songs had never heard of the song. I would play it on my keyboard and she still did not recognize it. I have searched the billboard top 100 for 76, 77, and 78. I've checked itunes and youtube under "disco" and "70s" music for years. I've listened to 70s radio for years.
