  • I'm not sure if this pedal only works in a natural key. can it harmonize over different keys such as pentatonic and blues? can anyone plz explain

  • Certainly minor pentatonic, as that is just the Aeolian without some of the notes. Blues scale I'm not too sure about., but again, it should be fine.

  • @dzxw23

i dont know how to explain but it might beable to....if you have a guitar center near you then just go try it out

  • looks quitte complete and well equipped

  • they need to add MIDI to this ..so it can go in the rack and be controlled via MIDI...

  • Agreed

  • Digitech already did (most of) that (minus "musIQ") about 10 years ago.

Only now did the pitching-chips get small and low-power enough to do this in pedal format.

  • I have an old RP multi-effect processor and it has a simple pitch shifter. However, the I dont like to use it becouse the shifted notes are not in synch with the cean notes. I also have a Pandora box wich has a pitch shifter and the same problem. Is this problem solved in the newer models or am I too picky?

  • I just got one of these - its called the HarmonyMan now for some reason. I don't think you are being too picky. I had a Boss PS-5 before this and I didn't use it much because the harmony notes were not in sync with what I was playing. I just assumed it was due to all the processing they had to do and since nothing else I tried was any better, I just stuck with the PS-5. They seem to have solved this problem in the HarmonyMan. Don't know how, but the harmonies are right in sync.

  • Can u use this for like, BFMV or A7X???

  • Does this thing also harmonize in something other than the natural key?If not it sucks...I have talked to people from Digitech and they don't have a clue I guess..So maybe somebody can answer..From what I have seen it will only do the natural scale..Which is REALLY stupid!

  • Yes it works both ways, for diatonic and parallel harmonies

  • not a whammy pedal...a harmonizer

  • Well the Whammy has quite a few Harmonizer modes.

  • the whammy also has HORRIBLE tracking for harmony.

  • I love the tracking on the whammy...it's very imperfect but the imperfections are beautiful

  • Not when it comes to guitar pedals, why the fuck would you get something that sounds like shit for a specific purpose?

  • Because it's not actually harmonizing, it's just adding a pitch shifted channel over your clean.

Meanwhile this pedal automatically knows how much semitones to shift to get the correct harmony.

  • so its basically a whammy pedal in a stomp box form?

  • why didn't Digitech post a DEMO of this thing ?

i did buy this ..they evidently re-named it "HM2" or Harmony Man 2

    since the NAMM shoot.

it's cool..imagine One Guitar playing Queen 3-part Brian May solos, or "jessica" by the allman brothers

Digitech better get on the ball and post one of their Guitar Swamis with the HM2...it's a brand new product that not a lot of people know about....

i DO NOT work for Digitech or any music store..i'm just an old school player..wish i had this 25 years ago

  • sick ass!!!!!

  • Now that i need :D
