I LIVE IN ARKANSAS BUT TEXAS IS OUR NEIGHBOR STATE AND WHEN THE GUYS PLAY THIS SONG ,,IT'S JUST THE BEST'''RANDY,SOOOO SEXY,TEDDY MELTS MY HEART ,JEFF,,EMMMMM,MARK, GOT MY ATTENTION,BUT TEDDY GENTRY ,,OH MY , YOU ARE MY ''HUCKLEBERRY''''.LOVE U ALL,,,
I say Alabama done mark S H I T Y mark is a close friend of mine and one hell of a great guy and they did not do him right at all keep it up brother and keep on kickn ass on the drums cuz. God bless wish u all the best I know u will do great in anything u do
Since Brad P. song it's really got me to thinking. I did some diggin and could not help but notice Randy, Jeff and Teddy really have treated Mark H like crap!!!
Brad song ("Old Alabama") is a hit no doubt. Bur for these 3 arrogant turds to sue Herndon over +200 is like me suing my best friend for $30 for $500,000 worth of work I did for him.
Dont get me wrong I grew up with their music but for them to say he was just a "hired employee"?! BS!! Why is his picture on every album cover and picture?
THATS HOW YOU PUT ON A SHOW! Some songs just need a pro recording from a live show. This is that kind of song. studio versins are great but some songs are even better live.
I grew up on Alabama, George Strait and Alan Jackson in the house. To this day Alabama always reminds me of home and TRUE country music. Love this song!
I just read that Randy recently (last month) received a PSA of 0.1 on his 3-month evaluation. "A PSA result of a 0.1 is the best case scenario for cases such as Randy’s" -- directly from the article. So it sounds like he's on the right track. :)
@knightryderrwn I'm very happy to hear that. Randy strikes me as being a very good person and this world needs more good people like him. He has been involved with charities over the years including St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and also the annual Alabama June Jam concerts in the 80's and 90's for charities and school organizations, and his annual golf tournament benefits the Alabama Sheriff's departments Youth Ranches. God bless you Randy!
Me too. I've been an Alabama fan ever since I was a little kid, and when I heard he was sick, it scared me. I'm glad to know he's on the road to recovery. :)
I`m just the opposite of hattrick1972 I was raised on pure country but can take ac/dc.Just don`t mess with `bama, super group of the 80`s,always no. 1 in my book
I love Alabama for what they did throughout the years. They entertained us and we all love Alabama back. The crowd shown here just literally went wild! This proved what I have said all along, Alabama is the best country group in the whole damn USA!!!!!(and the whole world too!)
Saw Alabama twice at the Mid-America trucking show in Louisville, KY(I'm from NC) it was a free concert as long as someone with a CDL showed their liscense but I would been glad to pay any amount of money to watch the show. I hope they do a reunion tour someday.
Don't get me wrong - I love ALL ALABAMA's music - but this one has to be #1!! I used to play this song (without the fiddle, unfortunately, which was funny) and "Mountain Music" for high school talent shows - always got the audience rockin'!
I've always been a metalhead and I've always been a big fan of Iron Maiden but I grew up listening to Alabama (thanks mom) and I guess I have to admit that it's what I'd call a guilty pleasure. There's just something about their sound that gets to me.
@xXGretschDrummerxX I mainly listen to music by Iron Maiden, Megadeth, Metallica, Nickleback et al. But I've always enjoyed the sound of Alabama. There is just something that feels right. Even country stars like Mark Chestnut are fans of bands like KISS. I guess music is music. If it sounds good and can strike a chord then it's all good.
@hattrick1972 im with you brother except i aint thankin my mom but ive always been a metal head to but its just somethin about there sound that i love
@hattrick1972 I too always been a metalhead but I always work around these dixie folk who love listening to Alabama, Thats where I picked up my interest for it. :)
@nightfireivey My mother was always a big fan of Alabama, so I kinda listened to them growing up. I got lucky once when their tour bus stopped at the local Dairy Queen in Clayton, NM where I live. I was in the right place at the right time. I was able to talk to Randy Owen and the rest of the band and they're really great guys. They posed for pictures with those that recognized them and I got autographs of all the guys.
That drummer of theirs is really something! Jeff's fiddling was excellent, as always. I worship this song, too, although I prefer the recorded version over the live one.
I assume they're STILL together and touring???? NOBODY else wil EVER have the style or talent these guys have, in this kind of music..they blew me away in concert twice!!!
