@th3giv3r Whats really surprising is how different they sound while still obviously feeling like the same band. They didn't stagnant in the same sound too much, but they haven't completely forgotten their roots.

Honestly though I wish that they'd do another more acoustic album. Jesus Christ Was an Only Child is imo one of their best songs of all time.

sounds like theyre doing harmonics... let your finger hover as far to the right inside of the fret youre playing, where your finger is barely touching the string, within a milisecond of picking, you want to then push down the fret.

once youve got that down, do that harmonic sound, then bend the string down and then back to its normal position

It is a mix. He is just slamming the harmonics because this song rocks so much. In other modest mouse songs he is doing harmonics and then whammying to make a bouncy, kind of ghastly sound. I use that same sound in my band all the time.
