When he speeds i would love to hear him recite his bols as well as playing. I am a tabla student for ten years and western drummer all my life. There is always a degree of separation from the hand and the mouth in tabla playing. Means very few players can recite exactly as they play and vice versa.  The case is usually that players play faster than recite. I wonder what his speed of recitation is? Like or dislike is an opinion. Respect for his riyaz and god given talent though.

Tabla is not just about speed---it is also about clarity and the beauty of the composition. If people keep changing the tempo while playing, that is not tabla anymore. It is more like western drums where they have a different style of playing, and changing speed is ok. BUT IN TABLA YOU CANNOT CHANGE YOUR TEMPO SO INSTANTANEOUSLY, as Tafo is doing. Tafo is creative and entertaining, but even an INFANT can tell he lacks in stability of tempo.
