@carbongraphi the 3gs has a new arm corex a8 800mhz prosesor, clocked to 600 mhz with 256mb ram meanwhile the 3g has a 600mhz prosesor but is clocked to 412mhz with 128mb ram but the part that the ipod touch 2g cant handle multitasking and wallpaper are complete bullshit, but you can jailbreak 4.0 with redsnow and get the official multitasking and wallpaper

This software doesnt fully support multi-tasking just yet. Please check the video I just uploaded explaining this. All it does is adds your most recent ran app to the hidden dock. This most likely will be fixed with official release

cool. I bought an ipod touch 3g as an upgrade from an ipod touch 1g because i ran out of space. I was going to buy a used 2g but decided to fork over the extra 30 bucks to get the extra power.

I actually think apple is doing the right thing only offering multitasking to the iphone 3gs and the 3rd gen. They have a bit more ram and extra processing capabilities the others dont have. I can understand seeing some people getting mad that 4.0 caused their device to slow down.

@electricguitarplayer as of now you cant, for whatever reason one of the many bugs in the firmware result in error 13. if you try to install it in windows, you will get error 13 and then you will have to restore your device.
