As most people do, I relate songs to specific memories, outcomes you know will happen in the future, etc. I relate this song to the fact that so many of my "friends" have gone off and become total assholes. The only description that fits them, is the chorus to this song. They all go on, thinking what they're doing is better than what they had, and in the end, I end up feeling worse for them than I do for myself, because they end up crash landing on the opposite side of where they wanted to be.

I first heard Social D as a young teen in the early 90s, and they have been my favorite band ever since. When this song came out it when straight to the top of my Social D playlists right next to so many other great hits from them. As so many others have said here, this music has helped me through some really fucked times, and some of their lyrics still shake me to the core even today as an adult in my 30s. Still my favorite, and I still make every tour they play. Mike Mess and Social D is GOD!
