  • rushed version

  • this is quite a rushed version

  • 3:24 is awesome!

  • looking at recent comments, I can imagine how exciting it must be to actually perform this wonderful music.

  • Just found out "Garden of Everything" ripped this off... but I love both pieces so much... this one is so regal and elegant!

  • I learning a slower more simplified version of this in my piano lessons! Its really fun to play and sounds really pretty. I love it :3

  • I think it little speedy. no? Does it have to be like that?

  • Certain segments of this makes it sound a bit ahead of its time. Anyway, enchantingly lovely.

  • Such an honor to have played this song on the U of I krannert stage.

  • Magical music!

  • i have play this song before but i have no idea the song must be played so fast!!!!!!! but it was very cool

  • @evergreenbec17 It is soooooooooooo fast. I don't know how we going to sing it. Good song is it not?

  • What's wrong with The 2 people who dislikes this peace full music , I'm Speachless

  • Wonderful, splendid, gorgeous, incalculable fantastic and beautiful. Although, personally, I prefer older music and masters(Handel, Rameau, Lully, Purcell), Borodin is also the divine artist, who can freely compare and stand among, these four remarkable geniuses! Russian music is wonderful, as Russian girls are! Salut from Croatia!

  • Poor Woodwinds...

  • Prince Igor is fantastic music

  • OMG!!! I was searching forever for this piece! With the help of a musician co-worker, i finally found it! Been many many years.

  • I came here from Ape Escape 3. wtf???

  • A Bit fast..

  • So was this supposed to be the opening music to Neon Genesis Evangelion? I'm trying to picture it.

  • Amazing, then the reds came and destroyed Russia

  • It's not classic, it's ROMANCE music... *facepalm*

  • 3:22 The Best Part <3

  • Isnt this "prince Igor"?

  • @SandoTrini Yes, it is.

  • @SandoTrini

This is only a sequence in the play Prince Borodin.

  • This is the third Borodin piece that I'm playing in 6 months and this is definitely my favorite <3

  • too fast....

  • 1:00 - 2:00 best part!

  • Had to learn this in 2 days, cello part, anyone gonna try and beat that?

  • The tune at 1:19 reminds me of something, it's really annoying me that I cannot remember what it is!

  • @Suffok4t3 could it be stranger in paradise? It was taken from this

  • @mrboppman1 Afraid not, just listened to it.. hmm, quite confused but it doesn't matter really :)

  • @Suffok4t3 From a game perhaps?

  • yep, too fast, much of the music is eaten by the speed

  • Also isn't it strange the beginning was played very fast, yet the faster part of the song was played under tempo?

  • Where is movement 1?

  • beautiful<3

  • Played Trombone one for this, so much fun!

  • @xxPatheticEmoxx That it is!

  • I love this music!

  • @1962Gabu it was later used in the musical " Kismet" under the title "stranger in paradise"as a msical number

  • Eine dre besten syphonischen Kompositionen, die ich kenne....vor allem die Steigerung bis zur Ekstase ist unerreicht

  • Love those kettle drums!!!!! So exciting!

  • Love those kettle drums!!!!!

  • The tempo is excellent is sensual but barbaric, just as its name Polovetsian, a turkic group of the steppes of the Ukraine

  • Personally I disagree with everyone about the tempo.

I think it is perfect. I love the beginning better than the following parts but that is the part everyone remembers.

  • This was taken at a very fast tempo, it takes away a lot of the musicality. But if taken at the right tempo, it is a very beautiful piece.

  • @BornToDrum7 Agreed, much too fast. Then it varies widely at times. This piece is much more at home at a slower overall tempo, with moderate changes. I love the arrangement played by Boston Pops under Arthur Fielder.

  • So calming and relaxing... It's good to turn yourself from time to time to classical music. Quality is undeniable.

  • Is this a bit to fast?

Not sure. But really beautiful. I love this and I believe very professional.

  • @pensacola321 I agree with it being too fast at the beginning, but the rest sounds pretty good in my opinion. I wish we got the conductor's name or even what group did this... if you want too fast look up the Prince Igor recording

  • A wonderfull composition..
