To fix that problem, you'll have to carefully install a real-time water management system. Or, to encourage growth in small-businesses, you'll have to set up an infrastructure of mobile payments, dynamic invoicing, and micro-lending.
CityOne is much like Sim City, only the problems are scarily real, ranging among energy, water, banking, and retail. So, for example, one day you might get hit by a rapid increase in water usage due to population growth--while you're still losing 40% of your water supply to leaky pipes. (This is actually reality, in decrepit megalopolises such as Mumbai and Mexico City.)
What REALLY is one of the most important things to put attention to is the way of construction. If the construction is unrealistic, then you won't see me playing this game. But, I think that IBM is going to create a wonderful game!
why pay engineers when you can just outsource your engineering to the public... and call it a game so the public doesn't realize that they are making the corporation money
but is this going to be sim city 5? I don't really think so , considering the nature and goal of the game.it is serious game, and I hope not too serious and forgets options to make it fun.
is not a building city game, it will not have great graphics, it's a city management game, check out the other IBM "serious games" and you'll get what is all about...
will the graphics (buildings, cars, roads, overall shadows and real life structures) be as realistic as it is in the 90% of the trailer or will it be just like the cartoonish simcity societies style? if the ingame is indeed as realistic as the first parts of the video the im gonna buy this. .... dont tell me the ingame city will look like the shot at the end of the video because if it so then it is like expecting finding a rusty hammer in a well-designed box.
@younk because your monitor is upside down ..... no, seriously, dont know why, but if you watch the original video at the homepage that "water" section is played in the other direction and the cars are moving normal. Only this YouTube video looks like that.....
By the way, even the boat in that section is ging backwards and looks kinda funny ...
@younk Cause the footage used is likely to be "stock footage" (footage filmed by another person or company, to be used for other productions, like this one), and if they didn't reverse that stock footage, the flyby would be "wrong" (eg you would see the text already on the bridge ahead, instead of it appearing from the bottom)
@GreggandFunk Different people different interests. I like content, knowledge and educating myself. That is fun to me. I think this game will be very rewarding.
If your an arkade kinda guy. Fun, fun, fun and no content. I see your point.
i agree with the guy below... if the graphics are anything close to the first part of the video (and i can imagine that at least during the building phase, it might look cartoonish near the end of the video), then count me in! screw simcity if the simulation is much better and more realistic. this would be a great game for strategists!
@rogerpenna yup, you are absolutely right. i "played" it (if it can be called that)... it's like a stupid robotic simulation. it's nowhere NEAR what they advertise it as. i'm more than bummed.
too bad... the first time I saw the trailer I got excited. Then I watched it again and became suspicious... those looked like pre-rendered graphics... maybe even photoshoped real cities photos... the lack of any gameplay video or even screenshots at the internet made me a sketptic, and then it was confirmed, by my friend, by you...
@rogerpenna yeah i feel so bummed. it's like an auto-simulation with a no-failure type of strategy. you have different outcomes... gah, i'm done talking about this, seriously. i feel ill just giving it more than a few sentences...
I love the dramatic music lol.

They spent more on the trailer then the development of the game....
Oh well, got all excited for nothing.
