country music is different from rock and rap. on rap videos its all "hell yeah nigga this song is raw as hell." in the comments. in rock, its mostly those damn comments saying "such and such number of people do this and that" because they disliked it. but country, its just better. because the music is about life and love and heartbreak. people on here actually understand when u feel like shit, and i love that about country.

As sad as it is, I was this woman. I was mad at the world, and I took it out on the man who was my world and he walked out almost 6 years ago. It wasn't that the love was gone, I just wasn't a happy person anymore because of things with my family and it drove him away. @kirschbaum121 I think when you hit that critical age (40) you start to realize you're headed down the other side of the slope. Life catches up with you. I know I'm angry about a lot of things. But one thing I am trying to challenge myself is this: It's EASIER to be angry- be the bigger person and think of the hope in every situation. Just bc we are no longer the clinical definition of "young" doesn't mean it's over. Improvements are always possible.

Something happened to me when I turned 40. Seems all life's struggles come crashing around you and lashing out was a way to deal. It's real anger, not just getting mad. And it will eat you up if you don't get a grip on it. Being a Christian I realized this wasn't right. People suggested docs & meds...but I found hope in the WORD. There is an answer to everything in there.

This song reminds me of my grandparents who have been divorced 40+ years. One of them is still angry and bitter, and from hints dropped by everyone, I gather their anger and bitteress was present before the divorce. As the grandchild of these two, I still feel the repurcussions of this persons anger. As a kid, I always felt myself asking that very question, "Why you gotta be angry all the time?"
This song puts into words so many issues for me.

This song makes me think of my mother and my father. Divorced now, my dad avoids my mom as much as possible, and for good reason. She's a bi-polar drug addict who blames fault on all except herself. She has tried to kill my dad, her new husband, neighbors, and me. She sees a therapist now, but all that has done is help her moreso use her mental issues and childhood as an excuse for her actions.
For now, he is definitely (if you'll excuse the reference) angry all the time.

This song was made by a guy, for a guy to sing about a woman. I live this song. I married a woman who had 2 kids. I took them in as my own, we had 1 of our own, we adopted a 4th because she always wanted a girl. country music is different from rock and rap. on rap videos its all "hell yeah nigga this song is raw as hell." in the comments. in rock, its mostly those damn comments saying "such and such number of people do this and that" because they disliked it. but country, its just better. because the music is about life and love and heartbreak. people on here actually understand when u feel like shit, and i love that about country.

@ezioaltiar22 Most rock is about life and love and heartbreak too. Not the heavy stuff but there's plenty of bands that have songs that relate to rock as well. Rap is pretty pointless as a genre of music, the artists can't really sing, they force words to rhyme and all the background music is electronic. I do so enjoy country and rock though.

As sad as it is, I was this woman. I was mad at the world, and I took it out on the man who was my world and he walked out almost 6 years ago. It wasn't that the love was gone, I just wasn't a happy person anymore because of things with my family and it drove him away. He has moved on, so we will never be back together, but I learned a hard lesson, one I hope I don't forget.

Got my information from BMI that Bruce Robison was the orginal writer of this song.So, I guess ya'll need to call them and tell em that they are wrong.All Nashville has put out lately is 70's pop music with steel guitar.Ya'll can call the music Nashville put's out country if ya want to,I really don't care.I'll just listen to some real country music down here in TEXAS.Kinda odd how I looked all over the net for anything about David Reddick.All I found was a cartoonist by that name...Hummmm....

I can understand selling the financial rights for obvious reasons but selling the naming rights of authorship to the song is just plain stupid.If he would of been the writer of this and credited as such it would of guaranteed financial and potential of other artists wanting to do his songs.Instead Charlie Robison got that.....doesn't make sense.....

When I hit 40 and had some touch things going on in my life. I became Angry all the time. To my husband, my kids, to everyone around me. I was NOT a happy person. Went through the year and had some terrible things shake me up. I am in a better place. This song is amazing.

@kirschbaum121 I think when you hit that critical age (40) you start to realize you're headed down the other side of the slope. Life catches up with you. I know I'm angry about a lot of things. But one thing I am trying to challenge myself is this: It's EASIER to be angry- be the bigger person and think of the hope in every situation. Just bc we are no longer the clinical definition of "young" doesn't mean it's over. Improvements are always possible.

Something happened to me when I turned 40. Seems all life's struggles come crashing around you and lashing out was a way to deal. It's real anger, not just getting mad. And it will eat you up if you don't get a grip on it. Being a Christian I realized this wasn't right. People suggested docs & meds...but I found hope in the WORD. There is an answer to everything in there.
