Positive thinking really can make people stronger. But just positive thinking will not work for itself. Attitude is also needed. Sitting and wait for something to happen will not bring any results at all, only damages. Inertia on a dynamic world, may I say universe, is a negative force agains positive thinking. She's 85 years old - and she looks fabulous! But getting a facelift is not a sign of loving oneself - whereas self-acceptance is. Facelifts are very serious and dangerous medical procedures, calling for full anesthesia - they're for people who are too insecure and/or vain to accept natural aging.

And be grateful she had the financial ability to buy healthy food, or join a gym, or even see a specialist. You can't pray for weight loss and do nothing positive about it. Did anybody else hit a roadblock with the mirror work? I'm on day 4 and it seems like saying "my name, i love and accept you just the way you are" just doesn't have an effect on me anymore. Are my expectations too high? I do the mirror work 5-10 minutes everyday, along with other affirmations without a mirror. Help would be greatly appreciated.

@TheAthtrasna1 I think she was not in the secret because she focuses mainly on health and healing and not on material abundance. Wayne Dyer wasn't in the film either and he has been talking about the law of attraction since 1976 but again his focus was/ is on spiritual healing (as in healing the soul) and not on material abundance.

@shockthesky - Yes. If they are happy then who are you or I or anyone else to say that it is "wrong?" Often people are taught by others that they will reap all sorts of rewards through charity and "helping others" yet most of those doing the teaching don't actually tell the impressionable child "how" to help others. If you want to help others, then the only thing you "need" to do is make yourself happy and THEN you can share it with others AND have an infinite well of energy to do so.

I have heard from other "important" Self help gurus/Motivational spirtual speakers that she's not really all that nice and keeps a heirichy of servants around her to protect and buffer her from the "real" world. Just look at that face of hers. Its so tight its about to split apart. If you really loved your self than why not age gracefully? Telling people whats wrong with them and not even knowing them. How do all these people know she's an angel? She could torture animals for all u know.
you obviously have some really deep problems. Perhaps its the fact that you dont have the strength to change your thinking yet. Keep at it you'll get there. There is something in life that humans engage in called, jealousy, so what you "heard from other gurus" is their own personal jealousies. Why does she keep herself away from others? This won't have answered your question but one day, you'll "get it."

Whomever the person who wrote such words is, well, they probably WILL find a "rich man to come so they can sponge off their credit card!" If that is what they want, then that is what they'll probably get and ALL of the things that go with it. The first self help book that came to my path, was "The power is in you" and god didn't it change my life! At that time I just liked what Luise was saying and followed it. Today, after loads of self help books and other autognosy paths this book opened in front of me, I can see Luise was not just someone who knew what to say. @Flyba, I see your point, I think Louise teaches that in having such a mindset of looking at all the negatives to try to solve them, that we end up with a very negative focus which closes us off from all the opportunities. Instead, if we turn our focus to gratitude for everything positive, then it just opens us up to all the opportunities in life so we can see them more clearly and bring in more good thing/events to our lives. It's a bit like the old saying, is the cup half empty or half full?
Me and my soul mate, fiance have changed our thinking patterns and we have never been so in love. Great things happen to us all the time. We see blessings and signs all the time. We look for them as tokens of love from God. Money comes easily and more than what we expected. People sense this energy and want to return this love unconsciously. This is how we keep love growing.

@destiny6666 teachers don't teach for free. they need money to live. everybody needs. there's nothing wrong about getting money from your work. the most important is the message. this video is free as many others! what she means is that she doesn't do what she does for the money. money came as a consequence and reject it will be silly. if she found a way to help people and get money from it, I find it beautiful! furthermore she is teaching people to get it too. not only money. :)

How about those who spend years in university to become doctors? How about those who have trained to be plumbers or carpenters or taxi drivers? How about those who stay home and look after the home? Do you challenge their "honesty?" Answer that for yourself and you'll do yourself a tremendous kindness.

@TheAthtrasna1 I think she was not in the secret because she focuses mainly on health and healing and not on material abundance. Wayne Dyer wasn't in the film either and he has been talking about the law of attraction since 1976 but again his focus was/ is on spiritual healing (as in healing the soul) and not on material abundance.

@shockthesky - Yes. If they are happy then who are you or I or anyone else to say that it is "wrong?" Often people are taught by others that they will reap all sorts of rewards through charity and "helping others" yet most of those doing the teaching don't actually tell the impressionable child "how" to help others. If you want to help others, then the only thing you "need" to do is make yourself happy and THEN you can share it with others AND have an infinite well of energy to do so.

I have heard from other "important" Self help gurus/Motivational spirtual speakers that she's not really all that nice and keeps a heirichy of servants around her to protect and buffer her from the "real" world. Just look at that face of hers. Its so tight its about to split apart. If you really loved your self than why not age gracefully? Telling people whats wrong with them and not even knowing them. How do all these people know she's an angel? She could torture animals for all u know.

@coonish28 - What would you accomplish by "convincing" others of how "horrible" she is? There is something in life that humans engage in called, jealousy, so what you "heard from other gurus" is their own personal jealousies. Why does she keep herself away from others? Because she wants to be close to source and it is easier to do so when one is alone and not clouded by others opinions and limited thinking processes. This won't have answered your question but one day, you'll "get it."

Whomever the person who wrote such words is, well, they probably WILL find a "rich man to come so they can sponge off their credit card!" If that is what they want, then that is what they'll probably get and ALL of the things that go with it. The anxiety of not knowing "why" the person is with them; the not knowing if the guy will pick somene younger and prettier in a few years, etc. That person will figure it out.

What a charming woman!
The first self help book that came to my path, was "The power is in you" and god didn't it change my life! At that time I just liked what Luise was saying and followed it. Today, after loads of self help books and other autognosy paths this book opened in front of me, I can see Luise was not just someone who knew what to say. This woman with great knowledge and work behind her, is a living prove of what she teaches. I'm so grateful to her and hope she can see it and smile

That statement implies that you can't, its a negative and an admittance or affirmation that you are thinking negatively. Start with this affirmation, I CAN and WILL think positively and WILL affect my life as such.

@Flyba, I see your point, I think Louise teaches that in having such a mindset of looking at all the negatives to try to solve them, that we end up with a very negative focus which closes us off from all the opportunities. Instead, if we turn our focus to gratitude for everything positive, then it just opens us up to all the opportunities in life so we can see them more clearly and bring in more good thing/events to our lives. It's a bit like the old saying, is the cup half empty or half full?
