@chibidark321 all the main characters in this anime are very stubborn, especially when it comes to love (Ryoga , Mousse, Shampoo and Ukyo are probably the worst! ;) ), that's why thex never give up. But I guess that Shampoo and Ukyo can't complain or get jelous about Ranma's public speech because neither of them is present at the time (Ukyo hasn't come yet and Shampoo is probably back to China to get her great granma or something).
