I think it is kind of sad that lesbian, gay, and bi people get 'pride' days and/or weeks while trans people have a day to honor those who have been murdered. I'm not saying that I think it is wrong or undesirable to honor the deceased, but isn't it more important to remember and support those who are living? I think the HRC's TDoR insinuates that remembering the slain is kind of all trans people can look forward to, and I don't like that assertion.
