after looking at it...after the air fireball there is a split second chance for DeeJay to do something before the throw..he just doesn't use it.

Having been caught in that exact same situation myself, I can safely say that there is NOTHING that can be done with that fireball corner trap. It may LOOK like the DeeJay here had a chance to react, but the blockstun on air fireballs is SO long that there was nothing the DJ could do. REversal upkicks don't even work for some reason.

if you actually play as akuma he is unbeleivably weak... he does less damage with the majoprity of his attacks than ken or ryu, hes balanced pretty well tbh :)

Yes throwing is part of the game mechanics and it should be utilized. but what we see here is just blatant. even if he had charged to his air kick the air fireballs were timed to hit. What could he had done but wait for an opening. I own the game and many iterations of SF. cheap is cheap.

It doesn't matter... If it's cheap, it's working. Why would he stop something that's kicking his opponent's ass? It's an excellent strategy and that Dee Jay player has himself to blame for getting caught by it.

Erosion seriously would you play like this? There are many other skillful none cheap ways for this guy to win over deejay. I understand Akuma is one of the weaker character in the games and a better DJ player should have the edge. But when Akuma is utilized combo correctly its art to the eyes. This was just crap to me. Also agree DJ should have been better.

And that my friend is where you're wrong. Despite all of Akuma's shortcomings, his pluses outweigh his minuses and he's still considered to be a top tier character in this game. But just because it's cheap doesn't make it skillful. It's not an easy maneuver to pull off., due to it's timing. But just like how there more skillful "none cheap" ways to win, there were ways for that DJ player to get out of that situation or avoid it altogether.

And if the opponent that I'm face is weak enough to get caught by it then yes I will used that against him. Not to win but to force him to find a way out of it or lose. I've done it in the past and I have no problem doing it again. It's what you know and use, it's how you use it and that Akuma player put those air fireballs to good use. Don't hate.. congradulate.

I'm not hating. All turtle players should be destroyed but this guy knows how to play and it felt like I was watching a 2nd lvl beginner who is fascinated with air fireballs. The opponent was weak I agree but I still think people should keep their skills honest. Don't just play like that every match because you can.

So... what's dishonest about what that Akuma player's style? He didn't enter a cheat code or alter the game's programming in any way to work in his advantage, so he's as honest as it gets. If there's no cheats entered or any alteration to the game at all, then there's no right or wrong way to play. You can't tell your opponent how to kick your ass, it's not how it works. I'll say it again. It's not what you know and use, but how you use it.

Well... If I was wrong, you have my apologies.. but I've faced many good opponents and many crappy ones and I've learned that only crappy players complain about "cheap" or "unfair" tactics. If you were to play in a major tournament, this is what you will have to deal with. Cheapness doesn't apply there. Anyway, I wish you many victories in SF or anything other fighters in the future.
