  • "You stupid, patronizing ape..." That sounds like the Doctor... :3 XD The first time I saw this, the last comment made me go "WHAT WAS THE HECK WAS THE WHAT THE WHAT THE WHAT?!?" and rewatch it. XD I couldn't believe my ears. Epic clip is epic.

  • "D'you like sex?" :D Why yes I do, Mr. Eccleston!

  • Oh God I HAVE to meet him. I have to. Really, I feel sick with the urge to shake his hand and tell him "you are brilliant".

  • MY GOD JUST SO MUCH RAGE!

    I LOVE IT!

  • Ooo no the doctor Has gone mad!!!!

  • please bring back Christopher Eccleston as Dr. Who. It is no good since he's been gone.

  • hes my uncle in law

  • @MsTigris say whhaaaa?? you lucky person.

  • @thicketwings05 haha why am i lucky? do you fancy him or something? cause a lot of women seem to do haha!

  • @MsTigris nah i just admire him as an actor :)

  • Keep pressing 1

  • This reminds me of Christian Bale in American Psycho.

  • "Stupid Ape"...so this is where Eccleston got that line?

  • I'm gonna have to show this to my grade eleven english teacher because I HATED Othello when studying it, because she showed us really horrible versions and isn't a very good teacher........but this is great! ;bgnvao;

  • Oh the random things you find when bored.

  • GREATEST FREAKIN SCENE evar

  • I love this scene so HARD.

  • That was FREAAAAKISH!

    I love this man xP

  • This is why I love the 9th Doctor. It's wierd to see him with long hair. Chris Eccleston is a great actor. Also, he has an interesting face & pretty blue eyes.

  • SO wierd to see him with hair....

  • I studied Othello for part of my A level English and I was soooo bored by it! But I also watched this drama when it was first televised, and it brought great dynamics, energy and fire to the whole plot...I would watch it again but sadly it is not available on region 2 DVD...Chris Eccleston is one seriously good character actor, and he was quite brilliant in this. Shades of House of Cards (if anybody remembers that)...

  • While watching this, I just kept thinking... "You're so hot... but so horrible."

  • I do believe the Ninth has gone crazy!

  • "Do you like sex?"

Yes, please. In large quantities. Preferably from the one asking the question, THANK YOU!

  • This is and amazing film, mostly due to the great Christopher E.

  • anyone have the script or lines for this little speech... I'm haveing difficulty understanding... and it seems like it would be a good speech to know

  • OMG! Were can i see the rest of this?

  • Probably best looking for the DVD on Amazon.

  • Oh god what did the Ninth Doctor drink

  • I have this DVD and it is AMAZING!!! Eccelstone I think is one the best Iago (Jago)'s ever!!!

  • hwere did you get hold of it from? it seems unnecessarily expensive- i've only found it for £30+, which, however much i love CE, is seriously expensive...

  • Could you possibly upload the movie on YouTube? None of the online stores I have accounts on have available copies, not even Amazon. All are left there are used copies, but they're very pricy.

  • I got it on Amazon. That's weird that don't have it anymore. I would upload it on youtube, but I don't know how to post videos on youtube.

  • BAHAHAHA. That was fanTAStic! I need to find and watch this now. I do wish he had had a longer role as the Doctor, and it would have been nice to see him up against the Master, but I still think David Tennant did a magnificent job.

  • you like sex? lol!

  • LOL the last seconds were very unexpected xD

  • He's soooo brilliant!

  • Eccleston is incredible. God, I miss him as the Doctor.

  • can you see all of the othello with christopher eccleston in it somewhere on youtube? looked hard but can't find it

  • Eccleston Doctor would have been awesome up against the master

  • would have been scary to me, him with his tortured soul interior and dark exterior...plus facing up against the master's quirky madness?-mad creepy

  • eccelstone rant =many lols

  • Haha x i didnt see tht end bit coming! I crakcked up...=D x

  • Like it?! I love it! ;)

Fantastic performance. Can't see myself growing tired of watching that man.

  • I see this and I still think of him as the Doctor. Everything he said reminded me of him. Altough I blame the beginning for putting it in my head what with the 'stupid ape' comment.

  • Oh the ending! Woo I got a crush on him too!

  • I was fairly quiet throughout the entire video, but that ending made me burst out laughing xD Nervous laughter, I suppose, haha

  • Nothing wrong with having a crush on him. He's not ugly! His eyes are incredible. He just has a very harsh face, but that is what makes him perfect for roles like this where he has to be so crazy he almost scares you.

  • I think that's his forte as an actor. He does it better than anyone.

  • um, like sex? Only with you I think. Guh.

  • wow!

  • Yeah --BBC did updated versions of Shakespeare about two years ago. Chris is brilliant.

  • hahahahaha

    'Cheer up'....

    'Do you like sex?'

    Hahaha, amazing!

    CE is fantasitc =]

  • Somehow, this never gets old =P

  • Oh god, yes I do, Eccles <3.

  • and this is what would have happened if the 9th Doctor became the Valeyard.

  • lol no kidding

  • hahaha i cant answer the last line....yet

  • Wow. That was a pretty damn brilliant piece of acting.

The last line threw me off just a bit, though. =P

  • Here's me thinking I was the only woman out there that finds this man breathtakingly handsome.

He played Iago incredibly well in this.

Do I like sex? I don't think I'd be able to answer the question without ravishing him.

  • I used to think the fact that I have a bit of a celebrity crush on Christopher Eccleston was weird but apparently I have quite a bit of company. To my friends who think he's ugly I just quote that line from Amadeus: "Looks do not concern a woman of taste". Though in my opinion they are dead wrong; he is quite unconventionally handsome in addition to being astonishingly talented!

  • He has a pretty huge fanbase actually. MANY, MANY people find him undeniably sexy. I personally think he IS sex.

And definitely, he's one of the most beautiful men I've had had the pleasure of seeing in the flesh. He's just as good looking in real life as he is on the screen, and that's pretty rare.

  • I completely agree. It always saddens me to know that he is not as well known over here in America; Though I am incredibly glad that he has a fan base over here. I must a bit I'm a bit of a newbie fan, having discovered him in 2005 when Doctor Who series two premiered over here on the Sci Fi Channel.

  • @musime oh yessssssssss I use to say he's uncnventionally sexy!

  • @musime He's my first Doctor and I share your celebrity crush on him. Then again, I have a TON of celebrity crushes... XD Some would resort to calling me nasty names.

  • Why yes, Christopher Eccleston, I do. <3333333

  • Jago? Othello? Is this some kind of modernized Shakespeare? Wow, CE is playing a totally creepy character in this movie. The business suit and the hair flapping around reminds me of John Glover as Lionel Luthor a bit.

  • I WAS NOT EXPECTING THAT LAST LINE.

    Um. YES PLEASE, ECCLES.

  • wow wow wow. of coarse eccleston do you have to ask? well...

    ... with a certain person. ;)

  • CE is great.

  • He's an amazing actor, hard to put into words really... :-)

  • that was so cool it just goes to show hes a great actor

  • "Do ya like sex?"

YES! GOD YES TAKE ME NOW!!!

  • I need to make a Mitothin icon with that line. XD

  • There is more to live than just Doctor Who. He is a fantastic actor and this clip just goes to show that.

  • I could listen to this man read the phone book! God, I love him.

  • lol, i could watch this man watching paint drying :D

  • Nice one. Me too. Especially if he was naked.

  • :))especially if he was naked and said 'd'ya like sex?' :))

  • If he were naked, all he'd be able to get out would be, "D-."

  • Drama's greatest douchebag, played by someone that has played several great douchebags. :D (No, I'm not counting "Doctor Who".)

  • This is brilliant! Thank you for uploading it:D I want to watch the movie now. Chris is such a good actor:D

  • It's a fantastic film! Chris Eccleston is just so great in this, especially in this scene!

  • A must for any Christopher Eccleston fan!

  • He's such a badass.

  • Othello was promoted instead of him - not Cassidy.

  • Wow. That was one of the freakiest scenes I have ever seen. His brilliant acting combined with the camera movement...and that question at the end. XD Such intensity, I love it. Awesome clip!

  • Try to find it under "Rotten Tomatoes".

  • Geoffey Sax did "Stormbreaker" as well as this.

  • Geoffrey Sax.

  • I think this was done in 2001 on ITV.

  • who is the director?

  • i love watching chris act, think he's brilliant & original. this clip is tops!
