  • "Did you really think it would kill me?"

    What a badass!!!

  • why that dudez blue? >:O

  • @Machdude The more one becomes aware of the less meaningful the less it matters in the big scheme of things.

  • well does any comic say what manhattan has seen ? did he find any other lifeforms lol ?

  • Comment removed

  • @elasolezito he can actually create life so... "you could say that", lol

  • " I am Ozymandias, King of kings. If anyone would know how great I am and where I lie, let him surpass any of my works."

  • why does he refer to his former self in third person?

  • @dalektaliban Because he no longer considers himself to be that person.

  • He should've just wiped out Adrian like he did to that Vietnamese soldier...

  • dr manhattan : what's that: another ultimate weapon ?

    ozymandias: yes you could that

and then the bat-signal appears in the sky

    dr manhattan: oh fuck....

  • I acutally memorized this line and the line where he and silk was in the mars

  • The T.V. "Another ultimate weapon"

  • then batman showed up shoots Dr Manhattan with a special laser then leaves when theres only a ash pile left

  • I remember when I saw this, me and my friend hated Doc and when this happened we were like, "Whoo!" Then as soon as he killed Rorschach we hated him immediately.

  • @oakin413 Well, Manhattan could care less.

  • @mac19971 It's a movie...

  • @oakin413 It's supposed to be inspiring though, well, personally I found it inspiring.

  • I just dont understand his detachment from human beings... He seems pretty sane...

  • Since none of the other heroes in Watchmen have any powers outside of there fighting skills and/or technical and strategical knowledge, Mr Manhattan needs to compensate for it by being a freaking GOD

  • Adrian...... I am disappoint

  • The way Manhattans mouth moves reminds me of those Conan O Brian skits where he would pictures of people and then dub their mouth with someone elses.

  • damned, i wanted to see his ultimate weapon.

  • "The world's smartest man is no more threat to me than the world's smartest termite". Well, he was wrong because Veidt won, so he should reconsider that line.

  • He refers to himself. It doesn't matter about the world, Veidt can take it over and still not have enough power to so much as scratch Doctor Manhattan. His schemes notwithstanding, the Doctor is effectively invulnerable because nothing made from man can kill him. Not Nuclear bombs, not tactical lasers, not even getting ripped apart on an atomic level.

  • @Machdude What exactly is Dr. M made of?? He's basically made of electricity and nothing else?

  • No one knows. But judging by his composition, I'm hazarding something like a radiation particle since it would be a "pure" form of energy.

  • @Machdude Well, nothing can kill radiation, except for taking a shower I guess XD But if a person is made of radiation and NOTHING else and you try to kill them............... Good luck with that............

  • "The father will teach the son..."

  • I have witnessed events so tiny and so fast they could hardly have been said to have occurred at all...because I subscribe to the slow-mo guys' channel.

  • The world's smartest man is no more threat to me then the world's smartest termite

  • @softan your point is indeed a good one. However, more than likely manhattan wouldn't have let adrien live in that instance, or instead possibly have exposed him, but veidt's remaining defense left him unharmed. Veidt didnt realized that he never had a fighting chance until almost too late. Luckily for him his life was then spared against the unstoppable force.

  • Television is indeed a powerful weapon.

  • Yet a human outsmarted Dr. Manhattan

  • @fishpig20 that's relative. He probably thinks he did outsmart him. But what he did didn't really have an effect on Manhattan. The world thinks manhattan is trying to destroy them, but Manhattan doesn't care. There's nothing they can do to him anyway. For someone to outsmart the other they both need to be in the game. Manhattan is outside the game.

  • When I watched this movie in the cinema I hated it... but from watching these isolated clips it doesn't seem that bad.

  • VS? I didnt see any fighting in this clip.

  • Yay, first dislike!

  • Yet he did out think Manhattan quite a few times

  • the most heroic are the least powerful.

  • "The world's smartest man... poses no more threat to me... than does it's smartest termite."

    PWNED MOTHERFUCKER!

  • @Sebansho It's the other way around. Ozymandias played Manhattan's ego like a Stradavarius. It was never about hurting him, just distracting him long enough for things to play out as Ozy planned. So intelligence beat raw power hands down. And that is an EPIC PWN right there.

  • best bit is:

    im dissapointed in you adrian

    VERY DISSAPOINTED

The look on veids face, priceless!

  • Kinda reminds me of Justice League's AMAZO in some ways.

  • I'm still furious with Tobias for getting paint all over the place

  • The only one in the entire watchmen universe who can beat Ozymandias.

  • God I just love this scene, what he says is probably the most epic movie quote ever. I get goosebumps each time I watch it.

  • Online fights are kind of like the special Olypmics.

Even if you win, your still retarded.

  • @Mpl69olymp Ahh stfu.

  • @Mpl69olymp What does that have to do with this video?

  • @Mpl69olymp grammar you're not your.

  • @Mpl69olymp Online fights are like trying to kill Dr. Manhattan. Even if you think you've won, you haven't done shit.

  • @Mpl69olymp "you're"

  • @Mpl69olymp And you just a commentator at the special Olympics:

    You don't really add anything.

  • @Mpl69olymp *you're ;P

  • @Mpl69olymp you're*

  • 0:49.

    Jersey Shore plays.

    Dr. Manhattan explodes in rage.

  • ''I have walked across the surface of the sun...I've whitnessed events so tiny and fast, they can hardly be said to've occured at all....''

    ''Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeah...veeeery impresive, you asshole!''

    ''I have won Chuck Norris!''

    '' Shit, you ARE powerfull!''

  • he walks around naked not because he is gay (he is not gay he had a wife and a girlfriend.) he does it because he knows no one would ever mess with him EVEN if he does something that humiliating. the message he is showing is he can do and wear what ever he feels like.

  • Why did he have to ask? Shouldn't he have already known?

  • "what's that, another ultimate weapon"

    "you could say that. TROLOLOLOLOL"

  • for 1985 that Tv remote is pretty tricked out

  • @ There are many similitudes beetwen watchmen and justice league, dr manhatan is like a mixture beetwen superman and silver surfer, however hes going to mars, we can think that hes also martian manhuter or the three in a mixture, and ozymandias is like batman.

  • When you are that blue, and that awesome, you can't bother with details.

  • If Rorschach revealed the truth it actually wouldn't have changed the new world peace. Instead of being united against fake aliens, the world would be united against the monolithic Veidt. That would be a good ending.

  • @MadPutz No, it wouldn't. Not only would they have to be completely stupid to believe Rorschach after the reputation he's built up of being a crazy psychopathic conspiracy nut, but what you're saying would be short lived, after they stopped Veidt, then what? Back to the way things were. To quote Dr. Manhatten, "Nothing ends, Adrien. Nothing ever ends."

  • "Τhe world's smartest man poses no more threat to me than does its smartest termite"

    EPIC QUOTE

  • Wow he walked across the surface of the sun and cant grab someone

  • @TheCyberplAN Here's how Id fuck that dickhole up. Id say yeah, the Sun is an average star, if you are so beyond, walk on a Neutron star, or even better, I bet you can't run around the event horizon of a black hole. Otherwise....In stellar terms...The Sun?, it's the termite, so spare me your resume...yes I know...cleaned the toilets on Venus, yes, yes, its 600º F, yes, nice, amazing really. Now show me that black hole trick, Mr. Everything.

  • @painxtreme Wow dude i was just saying you took that a bit to far

  • @painxtreme That wasnt supposed to be an attack on anything u said, as a matter of fact, I think this response is the first thing you've said to me so far. I was just thinking of his casual attitude toward humanity, and general pain-in-the-assness, and thought perhaps his ego would betray him into a heroically stupid move. His character was my least favorite. He's like Superman with Justice League...he makes all of the others redundant. With him, why would any other superheros be needed?

  • @painxtreme you responded to yourself

  • His casual attitude is because he sees no value in humans in the grand scheme. As much as you would say to him in your whole universe speech, it doesn't matter to him because he can explore it while man could not. At his position, he would live forever and see the universe end, all while man comes and goes. He's seeing the world as a celestial body would see its inhabitants, a passing phase that will shortly be replaced by another. The more he knew, the less everything else matters.

  • @Machdude epic yet poetic but incredibley true.

  • @MannyMarvel I have to agree with that being the core...his bit by bit loss of humanity, and perhaps the part that pulls at the viewer is that he has a small measure of humanity left that seems balanced on devil-may-care vs. control. His clinching line, though epic, is telling of his human nature when he says "The world's smartest man poses no more threat to me, than does the world's smartest termite". If he is deity-like, why the bravado?. smash the termite, no need to become Shakespearean.

  • @painxtreme Thats because in all is power, it isnt power that makes a hero , its the condition of heart. Dr. Manhattan lacks this connection to his humanity. In a way his reason and logic, atleast to me seem like a weak justification to simply not be responsible with his abilites, in other words he no longer feels like he has to secure or defend people like you or me. Comedian- the most realistic veiw, Owl and Jupiter chick- treat it like some game,a pass time. Rorshach- hero complex.

  • @MannyMarvel:

Rorschach would be more like a Fury from the Greek mythos than someone with a hero complex. He believes in punishing all wrong-doers. He is not obsessed with Heroism.

  • @JohnGaltx64 Thats why I think of Rorschach as very self betraying, though he seems complex. To either Adrian or Dr. Manhattan, all his thoughts are there to read on his face, and he is very yes/no, right/wrong in his thinking towards villains. He is nuanced only in his self image and self pity, but there is some Eastwood in him.

Manny, that breakdown sounds spot on to me, unless responsibility is an emotion, there is no logic/reason justification for irresponsible acts toward another being.

  • @JohnGaltx64: No, but he is completely obessed with his "principles" and would let a whole world of innocents die in the nuclear apocalypse by revealing what Veidt did (never mind that no one would believe him anyway). He's the ultimate fundie satire, someone who sticks to his views no matter how warped they are in themselves and continues that path even if that means far more negative consequences than revalueting what he thinks is right.

  • @Machdude He learned the value of human life again at the end

  • @Machdude "The more he knew, the less everything else matters." I've felt like that sometimes; hell,I've felt like that my whole life...

  • @Machdude the universe can't end, matter can't be destroyed....

  • Actually, it can. Ever heard of antimatter? It is a tricky manifestation of energy to form but it is the byproduct of matter creation. Once it comes into contact with matter, it produces a huge amount of energy to equalize the two parts, resulting in the destruction of matter.

  • @Machdude

I'm gonna save your comment because that is amazingly well articulated

  • @Machdude dude are YOU dr manhattan??if not you're maybe sheldon from BBT :D...well meant

  • @Machdude well for me that is the most exciting thing about dr M...imagine be him and explore the universe and its secrets

  • @Machdude Well said!

  • I think maybe... just maybe... I might go create life. You know, just for kicks.

  • well, dr manhattan can not be killed or even damaged. he is practically almighty and has the knowledge of all the universe, can create life from nothing. he controls matter and see the structure of all the spacetime. why should he car if he was or wasn't outsmarted? you can outsmarted him whenever you want but it's for nothing

  • @cvrnda when has he ever created life. ive seen him take life away but never given it. can he even have kids. some pls answer

  • @eftultimate he didn't create, but he can. at least he said it and he means what he says. I'm not sure whether he can have kids or not, but my tip is he cannot because he doesn't have cells which could interact with other cells...

  • @cvrnda I don't think of Manhattan's abilities as giving him more intelligence per se. I think of him more as a baby, suddenly given a million different blocks, rattles, and music boxes without necessarily having a complete understanding of what he has the power to control.

Adrian has more innate understanding (intelligence) but he has far less toys to play with.

  • John doesnt realize that he is also just a man, trapped in the body of a god, while adrian has the mind of a god trapped in the body of a man. John grieves his death and becomes distant and distraught with his human logic overwhelmed by omniscence. Adrian thinks in such beyond terms that he is not human enough to use tacts of mercy or have real kinship, his real goal being a fear of dying. They are both absolutely as distorted as rorschach or the comedian.

  • @tiemedown cool story bro

  • @MrGodzillahin lol can you tell I am way too into this novel/movie?

  • @tiemedown so deep in that a giant squid would envy your diving capabilities. If that made any sense

  • @MrGodzillahin complete sense haha

  • @tiemedown ..nice, probably the best comment I've read all year'

  • @shelbyville1 you are so kind, thank you and truly its not me, its this amazing story

  • @ARS1290

    LMFAO

  • @cgrau100 . . . thats because he is :P

  • "ive walked across the surface of the sun"

but i missed when i tried to grab u lol

  • @ARS1290 LOLOLOL.

  • @ARS1290 Lmao

  • @ARS1290 hahha

  • @ARS1290

Nor can I cure cancer, which would of negated all this bs.

  • And yet he outsmarted Dr.Manhattan thre times.

  • @WatchmenDrManhattan He wasn't outsmarted, he just couldn't see his future like he normally could.

  • @horsey05 Since he could see future and he is practically indestructible, he doesn't need high intelligence anyways

  • @aclock2 Exactly.

  • having dr manhattan as your friend must be awesome. He can take you anywhere in the universe you want.

  • uuuh....that is so bad!! why do they always cut the good parts of tbe scenes...i wanted to see it all to wacth the tv screens and the stupid dr.m changing sides and being all "yeah, adrian's right..." Who cares if he is oh-so-powerful? Obviously, that doesn't matter if Adrian can manipulate him... Adrian rules. I hate Dr.M...

  • i have walked across the surface of the sun the fucking sun and yo bitch ass think this is going to hurt me you are just a man and the world smartest man is no more threat to me than it's smartest termite

  • Because the TV ruined all of our lives since 1910. Yes, it IS an ultimate weapon.

  • @NeoGamemaster

Culturally speaking it is, but Watchmen was always more preoccupied de-constructing human nature than human culture.

  • adrian veidt couldnt have asked for a better ending,a blue version of michelangelos david with a bigger appendage spanking him in front of his friends

  • Adrian Vedit is the gayest one of all the watchmen!

  • @cgrau100 no dr minhatton sorry i dont no how to spell his name but hes always showing his dick

  • @playnicefilms

The only one that's gay would be you, if all you could focus on during the movie was his swinging blue pipe rather than the events that were unfolding.

  • @playnicefilms yo if you had his power would you really think something as small as having clothes on means anything HE WALKED ON THE SURFACE OF THE SUNI BET YOU WOULDN'T SAY THAT TO HIS FACE YOU SEE WHAT HE CAN DO WITH JUST THE WAVE OF HIS HAND.AND IF ALL YOU SEE IS HIS DICK WHAT DOES THAT SAY ABOUT YOU HMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM

  • @cgrau100 He ACTUALLY is.

  • @Mr11MUSICMAN

That computer file during the investigation proves it. I mean, wtf.

  • @dagdamor1 Yeah, the GUYS file lmao.

  • @cgrau100 he is gay.

  • @Ko252 he has a wife dude.

  • @darkcylander That doesnt mean he isnt gay.

  • @Ko252 ya it does, a girlfriend too. both of which showed him having sex with. that's a lot of evidence don't ya think?

  • @darkcylander No, it doesnt. Ever heard about closet-gays? There are alot of them.

  • @Ko252 you could make that assumption on literally everyone.

  • @darkcylander I know. So basically everyone is gay, until proven otherwise. :D

  • Comment removed

  • @Ko252 what? thats retarded, you can't decide everyone is gay just because they aren't openly sexual, being gay is a great minority so if anything it would be that that would need the proof. and dating and having sex with women should be enough proof. if that isn't enough proof then nothing is.

  • @darkcylander Have you ever heard about something called a joke? No? Well, try to familiarize with this, and it will lighten up your day.

  • @Ko252 posting "he is gay" isn't a joke. that's just a statement

  • @darkcylander "So baically..." is a joke. You obviously didnt learn that in school. Too bad for you.

  • @Ko252 ya your right, my school didn't teach me that accusing people of being gay is a joke, but I am actually kind of glad I didn't go to a school that has you learn that kind of thing.

  • @darkcylander Your continuous argument raise a very important question.....why is this such a big issue for you? Is it dark in the closet? :D

  • @Ko252 wow, ok. well I never viewed it as an argument or that it was a big issue. I was trying to describe the facts behind people making narrow judgments but you didn't seem to understand to I kept replying to describe further. that it

  • @darkcylander okey. I see. But is it dark in the closet of your?

  • @Ko252 if you are trying to change subject onto what you think of me then you can forget it. I don't have a fucking closet. now go away and take your christian protesting to places that actually involve homosexuality. not a watchmen video.

  • @darkcylander You are the one trying to change the subject. I have asked about how it is in the closet, from quite early on. Everyone got a closet, as do you. Be happy to be part of the group, and stop struggling against something you cannot change. Christian protesting? Ha. Either you are very retarded (have you even read what I wrote), or just a real closet-gay.

  • @Ko252 The subject was about the character and you were trying to pin it on me. I don't entirely know what you mean by "closet" but I am 100% sure of what I am and what I am not. I don't know why you felt as if you needed to ask in the first place. We are talking about watchmen.

and yes, you do sound like a Christian protester the way you are talking.

  • @cgrau100 You like him that much?

  • @cgrau100 nah hes the coolest.

  • @cgrau100 I wouldn't say it to his though.

  • Great clip! And great scene from the movie, one of the best set of lines.

  • I hate dr manhattan

  • @kibakim Hes so cool impossible.
