  • Him - "Now we give the robot a knife.

Me - "This is where it ends" 0.0

  • when the robot took hold of the knike and he took the cover off of it, i let out an evil laugh...

  • dont teach the robot how to use a knife cuz then they will dominate the world :(

  • This looks suspiciously like a robotic assassin training video...

  • totaly envy this guy

  • The Hitchcock bathroom scene soundtrack would perfect here.

  • Real steel might be possible soon!

  • @synergestic It's already possible. Hopefully it doesn't happen.

  • 10:13 - 10:50 - Realizes what he's done... Killing that poor undeserving banana.

  • you're the precursor to skynet and small soldiers. D:

But seriously, this is VERY impressive. Imma have to look into the source code for this..

  • 1 person got stabbed in the back by NAO.

  • Gives new meaning to ventriloquism.

  • It's alive !

  • 06:10 - O_O

  • o my god im doing this

  • its obvious hes holding things in his hand, thumbs up if you agree

  • @badenjamesgill It's obvious that he said he was using the wiimotes in the beginning of the video.

  • The Skynet Funding Bill is passed. The system goes on-line August 4th, 1997. Human decisions are removed from strategic defense. Skynet begins to learn at a geometric rate. It becomes self-aware at 2:14 a.m. Eastern time, August 29th. In a panic, they try to pull the plug.

  • @telesniper2 Or better yet, brain surgery!

  • You might want to try still using your method for placement/orientation of things to be cut but have a set chop motion. That way you would just have to arrange an item to align a certain way and then the chop would be less effort and give better results.

  • Wow! What a great job! The chess and tissue challenges were very cute. One thought - maybe you can buy some rubber stickies for Nao's fingertips.

  • @mspetitegeek That's just what it needs! I'll try some of that liquid rubber stuff used for dipping tool grips into.

But I'm also curious about integrating the coffee grounds balloon jam gripper into traditional grippers. Wonder how that would work with Nao's fingers...

  • @taylorveltrop @mspetitegeek The rubber grips were successful. Thanks for the idea!

  • Cool, now try telemurder

  • Awesome. Keep on working, man. So fucking funny the tissue last part, i swear i laughed so loud :D

  • Very cool!

  • Awesome. I wish I could afford a NAO :/

  • this video.. its like watching a handicapped person do stuff in kitchen :/

  • I have a question: Do you work for a japanese robot making company?

  • @alanoasiss I wish. I'm scraping by doing freelance.

  • Nice work. A question: Why is Nao continuously looking at his hand/arm whenever he is doing something with his hand/arm?

  • @jeroenarendsen The Nao has video cameras in his head. It's possible to use the system through Nao's eyes if the operator is in a different location.

At the end of the video I comment on why that wasn't demonstrated.

  • Can you give me a link on where to check out that robot?

  • Can't post links in YouTube comments. Try a google search for NAO robot :P

  • Fantastic! Nice work.

  • amazing!

  • The Robot Cooking Show was awesome!
