hey dude nice cover, the zakk is awsum, could i ask you a question?- how do you string your guitar do you just reverse where you put the string in the stoptail?????? i pretty sure zakk does this ti create more sustain but could b wrong

@metalalltheway001 I string all of my guitars like that. It does not add more sustain, but it does put a little more slack in the strings. Just a little bit though.

I've tried a few ways of doing it and found out that it's better to knock them out first, far less screaming and moaning. How do you get rid of the remains? My uncle works at a garbage incinerator so... you know... I find my way around :D

@darionothree It's not half a step down. The tuning is D standard, and it's in the G minor pentatonic position. When you read tabs, they teach you the incorrect way to play it. Avoid tabs.

@BigmanSDMF If your a beginner. Use lighter gauge strings at first. Like 10-48. What should you work on? Well I see your a BLS fan. Theres alot of easier BLS riffs like this one. If you have never played a note on a guitar before, learn your basic chords, power chords, and if you wanna play zakk, learn the pentatonic and chromatic scales. Try your hardest to learn songs by ear, it helps you figure out on your own what key the song is in. If you have to resort to tabs, do so. And DO learn and

at 0:37 you make that really high pitched noise. it looks like a vibrato, but when i do a vibrato its nowhere near as high pitched as urs. how do you get it so high-pitched?

Only a overdrive pedal. It dosent change the tone, just adds a little more gain and sustain

Just a quick question

I can see that you top-wrap your strings over the bridge

I have a serious problem, whenever I try to bend higher on my strings

They tend to come out of the saddles, What shoild I do?

I also top wrapped mines.

The tailpiece is all the way down...

What should I do? I use 0.09 gauge set strings.

Hmm man, im not totally sure on that one. Thats odd. Maybe the saddle notches need to be deeper?? Thats really all I can think of. My Les Paul or my SG dont have that issue. What kinda guitar?

Haha, ill check it out. The wah I use is a dunlop original crybaby. Im thinking about getting the zakk sig because its got a wider range. What I do to get close to zakks tone on almost any amp is use alot of mids, and bass. Not so much bass that its woofy but to where its really thick sounding. And alot of gain of course. I cant really expalin in words how to use the wah for his solo stuff tho, sorry haha

aiight thanks dude. im using a crybaby at the moment also. those damn low E pinch harmonics are kicking my ass though haha.  thats the only string im like completely dysfunctional on when it comes to pinch harmonics.

Oh tell me about it haha. Im using 10-60 gauge strings and sometimes I still struggle with low E harmonics. I use them strings because they give such a thick tone and I tune down alot.

true, i use a hybrid of strings. the low 3 are a high gauge while the high 3 are a thinner gauge

Yea it is. But if your used to an insane amount of gain like on say a line 6 or something like a modeling amp, this isnt gonna sound good right off the bat to your ears. Give it some time if you get it. Its more of a classic overdrive but its good for metal. And if you want, spend 40 bucks on a SD-1 and get all of the gain you want haha

I have a Digitech Death Metal distortion pedal.. It's good but I like playing blues and styles like that, with a softer amount of distortion. Kind of like what your rig has, the right amount of distortion that still can get powerful harmonics.
