  • Compared to a .30-06 with recoil and stopping power what the .300 ultra mag like?

  • as an added bonus the meat was also tenderized!

  • That shit was deader than dead, effin cannon dropped it with just the sound hahahaha JK the 300 owned

  • PWNED

  • that deer was sol. good shot.

  • i love it when they die before they hit the ground. feels good to kill humanely. no suffering. im hungry for deer chops now.

  • now thats dead

  • lol lot of fun to much rifle for texas

  • nice that droped that deer like nothing

  • nice shot but really 300 ultra mag on south texas deer?

  • @clayton1clayton1 why not. good shot shadow

  • There goes 40 pounds of meat, and the sound barrier 5 times over.......

  • @JtsGreene

depends on the bullet you use. A controlled expansion bullet such as Winchester Fail Safe or Barnes X or Nosler Partition would hardly damage any meat with a RUM. I shoot hogs at 100 yards and exit wound is less than a baseball size. Moreover the RUM has enough power to break thru tough shoulder bone plates

  • That SOB was dead before it hit the ground.

  • Awesome video, what particular brand and what type of bullet was used to take this deer? I myself am receiving a .300 RUM soon and am looking for a whitetail bullet, right now I'm looking at the Nosler 180 grain ballistic tip. Let me know when you find the time.

  • @SniperAce016 I've always used Ballistic Tips. They work great. But I've since moved to the accubonds at 180 gr. Truthfully, they work about the same. Check their cross section, they are near identical. So I cant tell you why I changed honestly. I shoot 90 gr Reloader powder.

  • ballistic tips dont perform very well out of a ultra mag ,noslers, and grandslams very good choices

  • Ballistic tips are made by Nosler........And I don't see why they wouldn't work well, unless your shooting deer within 200 yards, then I understand, but the .300 RUM isn't a 200 yard and under cartridge and grandslams compliment the potential long range performance of the .300 RUM quite badly, for their ballistic coefficients are relatively on the low side.
