Olive Oil Eco Styler Gel

Ok. I actually found something that works. Ouidad botanical boost refreshing spray. I sprayed it on after eco styler use and my hair actually softened.

this stuff makes my hair hard and ccrunchy. I wonder if I can soften it

@itsmecassiej I use an oil or shea moisture with it.

@itsmecassiej what you do is you spray it with water when it's hard. It worked for me.

My sixteen year old's hair is natural and I have been trying different things on her hair lately. I really like the look of the Eco styler olive oil gel. But it had flakes what can I do about that?

@teekaye16 There's a new gel that I like. It's called Silk Element liquid Gel. I talk about it in my newer videos. I got it from Sally's it's only like $5. But to help with the eco I use the generic Paul Mitchell's the conditioner leave in under it. Try that. :)

It might be that you used too much or it could be the ingredients in the Ecostyler Gel. You can make your own gel from flaxseeds so then you know what is in it (Curly Chronicles does that). Also Naturalista Cosmetics makes an aloeflax moisture gel (she has an Etsy store)

I recently used it again and it did when I left conditioner under it but when i put olive oil under it the gel didn't flake.

when your hair is dry, does the gel make it hard to the touch or soft?

Add some oil to it and it won't be hard.

This is an update. When my hair dried, it was terrible. It was dry and hard. I think I may have used to much gel. I will try again and let you know how it turns out.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT. I finally found something that worked on my soft 4a/b/c hair. I'm soo excited. My hair is wet now, so just as you said, I'll see what it looks like once it gets dry. Again, I encourage anyone who has not had any luck with curls in their 4a/b/c hair, to give it a try.

i love this gel..i do use a leave in conditioner underneath it, but good curl definition
