What I love about the history of hip hop is that it is about the dissatisfaction of the African Americans growing up in the hood. I am middle class Australian and when I listen to real hip hop, you know gil scott heron and more recently Talib Kwali I often feel disconnected because I could never understand what they have been through. But I will say that because of The Herd i feel that australia has a voice. Urthboy has carried that into his solo album.
