Hand drawn movies are on the rise, Disney is on a roll and dreamworks is wanting to re enter. The CGI boom last decade has died out and I think people are demanding it. You have independent animated movies to look at
I agree entirely. There's nothing wrong with CG at all, its just that there's so many with little substance, and the hand-drawn animation does do alot of things that CG simply falls short of.
You should see Astro Boy though. These imagi guys are really in a class on their own. Astro Boy is in good hands.
well sorry for the late reply and its great that you like handdrawn animation as well, and yea i know of the clone wars. the thing with that is the show is moddled after its hand drawn predisessor so the art style is identical. im sort of glad that they stayed with the original art instead of chaning it.
now with astro boy im pissed that imagi didnt just used the classic art style.
I didn't see your rants but I understand what you mean though. The old school cartoons and the world of hand drawn anime is quite good... No, Great! Well, CG isn't all bad in my opinion but the hand drawn is better and I can agree with you in those grounds. But CG works for those that are tyipcaly not Anime or cartoon like. Take Star War for example. They have a CG Animated seris called the Clone Wars. I know that is far off from what your talking about but I'm just making a point.
