In regards to Luffy's dense mind; I agree, the first episode alone makes that clear enough. But, in truth, he's really not as stupid as most would think. He does, after all, perceive things in ways that's WAY ahead of anyone else. Like when the way he made Coby a Marine and other things like that. You see him do things like that throughout the series. The only person who ever TRULY gets Luffy's logic is Zoro; which is why he's the perfect first mate.

@Lhykosidae Indeed. I woudnt say that Luffy is dumb as much as he doesnt give a crap. Luffy is totally impulsive, planning things ahead just isnt his style but he can improvise some really impressive stuff when he want to. Like when he had to fight Crocodile, he figured out being wet make him solid and, when he didnt have access to water anymore, he just used his blood! Or hell, just look at all the tecniques he invented with his rubber body. Luffy is pretty damn creative.

Name and Misty are alike cuz they are like "parenting" to Luffy and Ash. Another thing I noticed, Luffy & Ash have black hair while Nami & Misty have orange hair. Both Nami & Misty are almost near Luffy's & Ash's height. They are main characters and the girls are one of the main if not main female characters of One Piece & Pokémon.
