Overeem is a K1 champ. Yeah, lombard is a KO artist, but his striking is average compared to overeem. Overeem is #1 in the world for a reason, wheras lombard barely cuts the top 10. No way does lombard even stand a punchers chance against overeem. Overeem is superior in all aspects of the game to lombard.

Then he had to go up against Overeem, who didn't really fight a semi final because Saki was already heavily injured.

After watching K-1, I realize now why everyone says the UFC's boring. Guys like Shogun, Rampage & Anderson Silva are fun 2 watch but b/c Dana White Loves helping these boring American wrestlers, hes rigged the rules so that guys like Rashad EVans, GSP, Chael Sonnen & Jon Fitch can lay & pray their way to World Titles.
B/c of the yellow cards, in PRIDE and DREAM guys couldn't just lay on top of guys and bore the crowd to sleep like they do in the UFC. K-1 is hands down better than the UFC

Such a shame Overeem won. He was a mediocre LHW in Pride. Pretty good technique, but no heart, so he got tooled by the top guys in the devision.
So what does he do? Inject elephant steroids for 2 years and not only move up a weight class, but become a behamoth twice the size of anyone he will compete against. Such a fucking mockery of everything martial arts should be about.
