  • yo, im a 13 year old nas fan, and when i show people nas, people say that hes a disgrace to hip hop. my generation doesn't understand the words he speaks, and just cuz the beat is old, they dont give him a chance. nas is, and forever will be, my favorite artist. hopefully my generation will be able to listen to TRUE hip hop, not that garbage lil wayne, or travis porter, gucci mane BS

  • follow @firsklass

  • NAS is the realest!!!!!!!!! fav MC of all time

  • man this album was so underrated...one of the best double disc in hip-hop history....most of them sucked bad.

  • 'captain hook to theez infants'.....nuff said

  • and 50 and wayne can suck it they both sell out. 50 for one saying ja's pop and then he goes signing candy shop songs. and wayne with the lollipop marry a prositute synthesizer singing shit. that's what fucked up the game ! at least when d block and dipset were popular i had something to listen to. this shit is not my ERA 80's baby all the way. that's why i like lupe. call what it is dude can flow. and spits real shit. one love to REAL emcees

  • nas is fine wine. nuff said. he did fall off for a sec but that was colombia screwing shit up. they cut i am in half to boost sales. take half off each album it's a solid classic. and the songs off lost tapes. nas is fine wine and gets better and out does himself on every LP. Jay-Z has bit and followed every trend each year consistently to remain relevant. J say's i was drinking that crystal on imaginary players. ask ghost and raekwon who "really" started that trend. and biggie for jackin him

  • God this beat gives me chills. True Hip-Hop in it's rawest form...

  • Nas always has amazing third verses in like every song!

  • @ThumbsUpMike Yo, hoes in my fold can slow me, roll with the brokest homies

    -Nas: My ways third verse

  • 1. Illmatic

    2. Stillmatic

    3. Street's Disciple

    4. It Was Written

    5. Nasty Nas' Demo Tape

  • @Eziokilla9595 "I am" was a little better than Streets Disciple and Stillmatic.

Illmatic, I am, Stillmatic, Streets Disciple, It was Written, God's Son

  • @Okieant I Am is not better than It Was Written or Stillmatic. No way, no how. Maybe the original version with all the Last Tapes songs on there, but not the released version. It's about the same level as God's Son tho.

  • Lyrics are so sick early 90s stories

  • true esco.....

  • One of the best rappers alive.

  • Everyone slept so hard on this album , and especially this song.

  • people said this album was shitty. but i love it

  • @whatupmaaan most slept on album in Nas' career

  • Nas is so ill he makes AIDS look like a bitch

  • this album had some of the best songs to ever exist. dudes are sleepin. but jay kanye jay eletronica. and every other good rapper anybody could name know what it is but will never admit it amen.

  • this shit is fire yall!!!!!!

  • wow!1 niggas aint fuxin with this nigga! word!

  • And they said this was one of his weakest albums??? sure there was some filler but tracks like this were FKIN classic and iLL hip hop. This is the era where hip hop started to die and dudes became soft.

  • Impeccable flow.

  • 111 likes 0 dislikes

  • Gladys Knight and the Pips-"This Child Needs his Father" original sample used behind the drums

  • Gladys Knight and the Pips-"This Child Needs his Father" original sample used behind the drums

  • streets disciple was underated

  • become a creature of habitat..the average cat dont know where its at or where its goin the hood waits for no one

  • In my flight jacket, adrenaline heightened, mimicking Tyson, after watching him cut Razor Ruddock in the gutter...wow...

  • My favorite song off that album and he goes IN on that 3rd verse. The flow and lyrcisim is off the charts.

  • 2nd verse is unprecedented

  • blood and white chalk makes pink so whats that make u?

  • 100 YEARS FROM NOW WHEN WE ALL OLD! NAS LYRICS WILL HAVE THE SAME SIGNIFIGANCE THAT MARVIN GAYE HAS!!!! RAP'S VERY BEST MC!!!!!

  • jesus! this nigga is dangerous!!!

  • Them Queens Bridge killers need to link up

  • This shit go hard

  • car chases to court cases to fly vactations

  • Can you believe that Nas is one of the rawest rappers alive and he has NEVER WON A GRAMMY? WTF???

  • @terrell5159 Cuz Nas raps about what the fuck he wants

not about the industry mind numbing agenda

only way to win a grammy is if you ride the music industries dick and Nas has always gone against it

listen to the third verse of "Hero"

that song coulda won a grammy easy but because Nas spit truth about em that went against him, but his fans dont give a shit anyway...him staying real is worth more than any award media gives him

  • @terrell5159 Can you believe Wayne is one of the fakest and most whack rappers alive and he has 3 Grammy awards?

I can,Grammys are awarded for popularity and sales and those things are irrevelevant to a real fan

  • @NejiRulzzz

popularity and sales are irrelevant to music in general especially nowadays. Anyone would have to be a retard to think Lil Wayne can rap better than this. God help these brainwashed kids!

  • @100pjp001 There not brainwashed, there just straight up Gay.

  • @NejiRulzzz I'm not taking any sides here.... but isn't that why people make music? some people do it for personal reasons of course. but most people make music to get heard and influence others with their music. While making a career out of it. Lil wayne has done all of the above. Hate him or love him. btw im a nas fan. im just being practical.

  • @ShookOnesTO But he`s ruining a culture by doing what he does.Kids don`t know real hip hop,the one that`s either so sick it makes you think"wow" or the enlightning one

What Wayne does is get popularity and sales by calling his music hip hop(his music is more like a mix beetween r&b and pop music with a touch of hip hop)

He`s also not influencing anybody. He may seem like a big superstar but over the years he`ll be remembered just like Ja Rule or some other candy ass rapper

  • @NejiRulzzz ya no i agree with you on that.

  • That 3rd verse.... FIRE

  • this is pretty much what im wantin from nas

  • salaam remi is a beast!

  • This is one of Nasty's best tracks and underrated amongst Nas stans... I for one put this in his top 10 tracks of all time.. Its just too sick from the beat to the lyrics..... Its got that illmatic feel to it and even his pops shines on the hook.

  • @DonLeoMarin I feel ya so hard man

  • @DonLeoMarin im a huge nas fan...never really new that this song was underrated...in my mind its deffinitly one of his best tracks...i really thought that more people listened to this song.

  • @DonLeoMarin

Yeah, def an illmatic caliber track, his relentless rhymes and subject matter are ill

  • tru poetic nigga

  • "Plug the mics up, I'm ready to rock/now I can reminisce of measuring pots of pyrex cooked in the kitchen/Captain Hook to these infants, it's like my ghost is still on the benches/surrounded by dealers and henchman, was a killa convention..."

  • @blackman26 "Plugs the mics up, im ready to rock, knocking reminiscing of measuring pots, of pyrex cooked in the kitchen, captain hook to these infants, was like my folks still on them benches, Surrounded by villains and henchmen, was a killer convention"

  • a great example of why nas is the best to ever do it. this needs to be heard more.

  • Why won't this nigga capture his gleam back and flow like this all the damn time? it's really pissen me off..

  • word verse 3 is retardedly nasty. most underrated nas track around.

  • One of the best Nas songs and rap songs ever, WTFFFFFFFFFFFF, wow man, I think I'll be old and still listen to it and say, it definitely was worth listening to rap back then.

The third verse is one of the best HIP HOP verses ever written and delivered. Up there with Illmatic and possibly even >greater

  • This song is the fucking truth, is sends shivers down my body.

    It's so fucking deep.

  • i think he was a true Godson. Not Jesus but FEARLESS!!

  • "fighting about how Kane and Rakim would do it, seemed impossible to us, that we could never leave from the block, where the world was forever freezing. " i can relate to that, almost as if the hood was another world with rules that didnt apply to the rest

  • captain hook to these infants

  • this song is WAAAAAAAAAAY better than the steet disciple song on the first disk

  • Olu Dara "Since the day you were born". What sample is that? 50 cent used it on the song "Flight 187".

  • @InfamousJMB its nas's father, he is featured on a couple tracks

  • Fuck a sermon from the neighborhood pope

He's sexing ho's, old fart, he's busting worms when he stroke

Multi-colored Pelle Pelle's, young stretch mark bellies

Babies born in a cycle, future disciples

MY NIGGA NAS IS TOO SCIENTIFIC WITH THE RHYMES AND LYRICS

  • From da day u wuz born....... u had dat GLEEM in ya eyes......LOL

  • Nah, this beat is tooooo HARD!!!!

Who better to have murk it than Nas?

  • nasty nas queens finest

  • "blood and white chalk make pink, so what's that make you?" is a subliminal diss to cam'ron

  • Comment removed

  • "Crack baby turn a young thug, this scripture might fit u look around it might hit u, no joke, don't want to pistol fight wit u, shit comes around faster than u think, blood nd white chalk makes pink, so whats that make u". street peotry at its best

  • @shonha1

    what does he mean?

  • @RohainArora he's basically talkin to some1 born during the crack epidemic, whose now livin that thug life, in a nutshell what u do comes back to u, " shit comes around faster than u think", then he lays out the consequence like only Nas can "blood nd white chalk makes pink, so whats that make u", u already know once thhey chalk u out , it's a homocide.

  • i was stuck on this song for like 2 years.. do you hear what the f this n..gga is saying....G.O.A.T NASTY NAS

  • @shakeluga what u jsut said in that comment is me but not 2 years just recently iv loved nas for a long long time but iv just put this song on my ipod its fuckin unbelievable the shit he spits and fuck yeah nas is goat number 1 in my opinion

  • @shakeluga The best to do it in my opinion. OYAB!!!

  • it's like my ghost was still on them benches - surrounded by killers & henchmen, that's a killers convention. -so dope!

  • @chaaoos I think that line goes "it's like my folks still on these benches, surrounded by Villiains and Henchmen, it was a killa convention.

  • @daggerrrrrr i always thought he said "it's like my ghost is still on these benches"

  • @TonyMahoneybeats he did

  • @daggerrrrrr like toneynahoneybeats said: "it's like my ghost is still on the benches..."

  • @chaaoos' surrounded by villains and henchemen was a killers convention" what he said is even doper than what you thought he said

  • u was born in the 80s pops droves a mercades

  • @ShutTheFuckUp0809 shut the fuck up

  • @DJDinnerRoll go eat a dinner roll fat fuck. U was born in the 80s pops drove a mercades.

  • Second verse is genius

  • YEAH! this that shit right here.

  • Hell yeah.. hard to find this joint, verse 3 is amazing... Captain Hook to these infants!

  • @ANTICHRISTisFunny

What does cpt hook to these infants mean?

  • @UserPickForSix You gotta know about Peter Pan to know that lol, to tell you exactly what Nas meant i don't know but all i know is that all the Lost Boys were scared of Captain Hook. lol Nas being Captain Hook to the rest of these lil ass candy cane rappers is what i think he means

  • @ANTICHRISTisFunny

Damn.. Just when you think you've got every lyric down from his songs a new one pops up and elevates the track to a new height. NaS is the GOAT

  • This is the shit!

I dont know why it was so hard to find,
