Sure, everyone is equal huh? Then why the fuck is she against gay marriage? Allow me to translate her message: "Hey gays, I don't care about you guys quite frankly, and really I don't give a fuck about your rights, but I do need your money. I'll continue to pat you on the head so you will continue to give me your money. Thanks."
@MikeAnthonyTV - don't be so naive. She doesn't stand a chance of being elected President (if she decides to run again) if she comes out publicly in support of gay marriage. Don't blame her for that - blame the fact that Americans won't vote for a President who supports gay marriage and you can blame organized religion for that. Organized religion is the enemy - not Hillary.
@sydneygayboi - PUBLICLY she does not support gay marriage but you can bet that once she is no longer considered a candidate for President she will come out as a supporter of gay marriage. She knows that she will not ever be elected President if she publicly supports gay marriage.
So we're supposed to ASSUME that Hillary Clinton, and Obama, and all Democrats that publicly oppose gay marriage, are really on our side? REALLY?!?! Forget it! Never again will I cast my vote for anyone that doesn't have the guts to publicly stand up for equality for all!
I love you Hillary!!!! I wish you all the best in the future. I know you'll be a key component in our win in November and in the Obama's administration. Thank you for all your support!
I realize that obama isn't for gay marriage. But his position on gay equality is MUCH better than mccain/palin. With obama you don't have to worry about him trying to add a constitutional amendment to ban it. If people waste their votes on nader, you might end up with mccain in the white house, and palin has expressed a desire to amend the constitution to ban gay marriage :/
I don't play the game of voting for Democrats just to keep Republicans out. Nader is the only candidate that has the guts to stand up for what he believes in!
I understand but you have to be realistic. Nader isn't going to win, if you really want to help the gay rights cause, the first step is keeping mccain out. He's just going to be another bush. Obama just doesn't realize that marriage isn't monopolized by religion, but he favors equality in general, unlike mccain. No politician could ever really say everything they truly believe or they'd never get elected.
I understand your point of view as well, my partner feels the same as you do. My point is: the HRC should begin to back some of the independent and third party candidates that might actually do something to help our community. Maybe we can do away with the lousy two-party system completely someday.
Hillary Clinton is the greatest President America never had. Voting for Obama was a major mistake.

The Obama Administration has done NOTHING for the gay community. His rhetoric is dead-on but his actions speak otherwise.
Obama, prove to the gay community that we should support you in 2012. Repeal Don't Ask, Don't Tell.

Hillary might not be my favorite politician, but she's pretty close to being the most pro-LGBT politician I know of.

You can bet I'll be voting for obama, no doubt about it.

Why? Obama, like Hillary Clinton, opposes gay marriage. I'm voting for Ralph Nader.
