One of the problems with becoming an atheist, is that people expect you to talk about god all the time, as if its your biggest and most favorite subject. I dont know how other atheists feel, but its as if you become a weird non-god preacher. The subject of god now bores me to death. Seems crazy to talk of the qualitys of god, when we dont believe in its existence.

The one thing wrong with this is the inability of Peter to separate the idea of God from the multi-verse of religions that portray God in a multiplicity of ideas. It is very easy to portray something you don't understand in words you misinterpret from a half understood truth. To argue against Gods existence is like speaking against the wind when you have no sense of feel. To argue for God is like speaking to the deaf.

@ahmeedin I wont disagree on that one, it wasn't one of his best works. If you are praising Hamza, though, you might want to reconsider since he used the concept of perfection, not to mention used the proof that god proves his own existence, which doesn't work since as a concept he has to be proven by another means. Otherwise I could say a blue flying pig exists and say that he is the proof of himself without even showing you a blue flying pig.

I never said we do not care. I said we do not care what people do in their homes! Stop replying to words I have not said and start replying to what I did say.

We campaign because this is not what people do in their homes. It leaves their homes and it enters every realm of our discourse from law, to science, to education, to ethics and morality, to sexuality. You name it, you will find people who are not doing this "in their homes" but are trying to do it in OUR homes.

What I DID say was that in every realm of discourse people come in with their religion and it is THIS we campaign against, regardless of whether they are fundamentalist or moderate.

This is in public and not, as you completely lied about, what they are doing in their homes. You continue to put words in our mouths, misrepresent us and lie about us. I bet it even makes you feel clever.

I'm disappointed I missed that debate. Thanks for uploading it! There have been numerous God delusion-esque debates on campus recently I think its fantastic, really represents UCC as a clear thinking college of reason - or at least debate about reason...
