I was in the CF for 4 years, I do not think I was punished this bad, of course my team never screwed up this bad either.

They had 2 at the sentry point..... one of them should of came back and reminded the platoon. Laziness and stupidity on their part in my opinion.

@Fatalize222 They could have, but having then you have only one person guarding the ammo. That person gets could get taken out by the enemy and there would be nobody to warn the platoon!

@PlusNazar The proper thing to do is eat as fast as you can...then politley ask to join you section in the punishment. You may be wrong, but you may save your team from more work.

@PlusNazar No but the Commander may not appreciate it. most want to discipline the Pvts as much as possible. :P I'm an air cadet & I always look times to discipline my cadets so I keep an eye out for anything wrong and when I do 2 things can happen:

1. Wait for everyone to be finished to see if anyone else notices b4 times to late to use team work to fix it & if no one does, punish the whole group or

2. Correct them instantly (the more logical one)

Depends on their ranks on how I punish them.

@PlusNazar The other 2 were entitled to a meal but they were standing sentry with the weapons. Two people were SUPPOSED to eat fast and relieve them.

The recruits were guarding a ammo point, for obvious reasons. While the others ate, the two were on guard and were supposed to be replaced so they could get out of the sun and eat. They did not eat because someone did not remember to replace them

@daisyhunter123 they did not relieve the soldiers at the ammo point but when the PO asked if they did they said yes even though they did not and the soldiers guarding the ammo point did not get to eat. they were supposed to change with people guarding the ammo

@lizzrd17 You do. You have to take PLQ (or Primary Leadership Qualification) which is a 6 mod (or part) course with mod 6 being "Leadership in the Field" and being 6-9 weeks long. Mod 4 or 5 I believe is Discipline and it teaches you...well....the yelling :). That qualifies you to promotion to Master Corporal. To get Sgt or PO2 you need to take your 6B course (1 month long) that teaches you to run a course (aka course warrant) and some advanced tactical leadership stuff. Hope this helps :)

For any newbee's out there, whether you're in the forces or work in law enforcement take that lesson to heart...whether military police/fire dept/Ems or dispatcher...anything that's service based....you have to make sure you're on the team and your partners can depend on you. Thats the bottom line. I'm glad they got that lesson.

The two that are eating should still be hoofin that food into their holes. Just because their team bladed them doesn't mean they don't need to be team players. I'd have eaten 3 or 4 bites of a sandwich, mushed it down with OJ and ran to the group.

Ugh, nothing sucked more than being out in an open area on a cloudless day when the wind was up. I cooked myself raw a few times especially on rifle ranges. This might not be a common piece of advise but if you're about to go to basic and you're fair skinned, invest in some tanning sessions.

During my BMQ, they didn't police our trays and gave us smoke breaks. The instructors hated smokers, though and made sure we felt it during PT.

8 smokers at the beginnong of course, 6 of them quit smoking by the end lol
