  • Reger is awesome and this piece is awesome. I love that last chord in 11 voices. People who know nothing about Reger often don't like his music. Often people who don't like it find it to difficult to play! WELL DONE!

  • This Reger piece is "junk" only if your repetoire consists of Chopsticks and Two Little Kittens in C Major. It's a beautiful piece. Technically well-done. Reger isn't for sissies. Maybe the recording isn't the best, but be kind with your remarks. This is a kid you're talking to. He might be bigger than YOU some day. :) I'm sure he appreciated your brand of encouragement.

  • Yes Hauptwerk is amazing. I use it with a keyboard when I don't have access to an organ.

  • Look up the software "Hauptwerk" online. You could hook this console up to your computer via midi and it would be greatly transformed! Great playing!

  • Tastenmensch12,

Your dexterity, pedaling and phrasing are all mastered very well in this piece. Max Reger's compositions are NOT by any stretch of the imagination "junk". I wish people would think before posting such disrespectful comments. The organ sounds great for a digital instrument ... Johannus if I'm not mistaking. Great practice instruments and you are very fortunate to have one in your home. Keep up the good work and thank you for your wonderful playing. Keep 'em coming !!

  • Thank You for sharing your talent. It's truly splendid that young people , such as yourself take an interest and pursue the arts. Very noble. Keep up the good work!

  • Reger was next to Bach in composing quite a bit for the organ. A small joke is known about Reger: "A man with a lot of accidentals". For a small Rodgers console, it held its own to sound great within its limited form! I love Reger's pieces for the simple fact that it really builds up on fingering exercises and skills-being of: crossing, substitutions, glissando - all in absolute, legato form. Good luck to him as always!!

  • I don't know why the music of Reger divides people so, but I personally love it. This may be straightforward enough Reger, but it is perfectly played. Well done.

  • Come on, be kind. Not everyone has a pipe organ at their disposal. And with regard to Reger's music as junk, if it were, nobody would be playing it nearly 100 years after the composer's death.

  • the piece is junk and the organ sounds like mud.

  • @donovad2007

It would be a pleasure for me if you would explicate your opinion concerning my video a little bit more precisely!

  • @tastenmensch12

I think you used to many big words - he probably has no idea what you were asking.

  • Great music indeed!

I also would like to know what the opus number of this piece is.

  • Very well played! Can you tell me where I can find the sheet-music of this piece (since it lacks an opus number)?

  • Ottima interpretazione, nella quale si notano le indubbie capacità musicali del giovane, ma validissimo artista. ******

  • Is it me, or does every Reger piece sound like every other one?

  • I think it's you. Play Reger yourself and you will realise that it's great and manifold music!!

  • Oh please - I tried his music 40 years ago and rejected it then. Don't you know there is so much better music available? Reger is dense, meandering, searching for a goal and just plain ugly. But that's my view. You are entitled to yours.

  • "Reger is dense, meandering, searching for a goal and just plain ugly."

    So am I.

Still, I love most of Reger's works.

    His fuges cannot be beat.

  • I hasten to add, in response to your inane comment, that reger's 'music' is destructive to anyone who plays it. The unfortunate thing is that those who play it aren't aware of the damage it does. But they will know someday. As for his fugues - they are the epitome of contrivance.

  • @organman52

    What planet are you from?

  • @Cattissimo Rather than answer that, I will simply say that YOU are from the dual planets DREARY and CONTRIVED.

  • @lokalexi1 Big word you said over there about fugues! I think that J.S Bach might have an objection to that :P

  • ...and for thousands less, build you a MIDI organ from Classic Organ Works if price is an out of reach area...

  • What does an organ like that cost? $40,000.00 perhaps?

  • about $17,000 actually, still over priced. I think electric organs should cost only a few hundred dollars! SO I CAN AFFORD ONE!!!!!!!!! Oh i wish that were true!!!! LOL! :)

  • no where near $40,000 this looks like a Johannus sweetlink model to me but I might be wrong, Id say this would cost around $15,000

  • Very talented!

  • it's really grat played !

  • I love Johannus organs.

  • how beautifull!!!

  • When did you start playing organ and at what age did you start piano? Amazing.

  • I started playing the piano at the age of 6 and now i play the organ for about three years.

  • My God Boy! That's not good, that's amazing! Your technique, your musicianship.. it's all amazing, not for someone as young as you, but for anyone! You even make the electronic organ sound FANTASTIC. Please post more!

  • Thank you!Soon i'll post a video on the organ of the church.Perhaps Dupré.

  • What kind of organ do you play?

  • That's a JOHANNUS SWEELINCK 15.On the organ at church there aren't so many possibilites to practise so i must do it at home.

  • IT's a very good recodring ! And you're a good organist ! I'm very proud of you and the organ is also very very good it sounds really fantastic with the great Posaune in pedal ! fantastic ! You mustn't remove that video the best i've ever seen in my very long life you can be proud and people like plynyavski and virgil fox they're not so good how you play by long !

  • your major keys sound really heroical!

  • Very nice played!!!
