Hes using a 3rd card. for another reason besides 1:53. if you take 1 standard playing crds the length is greater than the width obviously. however the length should be less than what is shown in the video. so there is a 3rd card.

My guess would be a gimick 8 of Diamonds that can fold in on it's self. Notice how he doesn't show you the whole card at around 0:52 just before the two cards make contact. He also does something with his left hand as if to pop it open. I think the card looks like a full 8 of diamonds with the side that can open up to reveal a top 8 of D and double sided back on the bottom half. Any thoughts?

If the video was being played backwards, this would mean the queen randomly started folding itself up before he picks it up. I know he's good with these tricks, but if he's capable of making cards fold themselves up, he can do anything.
