the station is open at dovey so that if you are going from anywhere on the coast to Aberwstwyth then you can make you connection rather than having a 50/50 chance of getting it at mach
I remember being told to change trains at Dovey Junction (I was 17). The rain was chucking it down and the waiting room was locked. By the time the Shrewsbury train arrived from Aber I was soaked to the skin. Thanks for the vid.
Changing at Mach is more sensible. It was just after Beeching had shut down the Pwllheli Caernarfon line. So to get to London we had the Cambrian Coast trip and changes at Mach, Shrewsbury and Snow Hill, instead of travelling to Bangor and changing at Crewe or Chester.
changing at dovey (depending on length of connection time at Mach) is more sensible as u have a guarenteed connection. Also does anyone know when trains to Aber will run hourly?
I think it is probably due to the angle of view. It is impossible to stand directly in front of both at once, so one has to be dimmer, unless you are a long way away. Maybe?
its predicted to increase when the hourly bham shrewsbury service starts.

Sure you're correct, but nobody much seems to do it?

Thanks for the memory. The waiting area should now be OK but you change at Mac! At least at Mac you have some facilities.

Yes. Don't really know why they keep a station at Dovey.

For twitchers and walkers perhaps?

You could be right - it's very popular these days!
