My first shrink had me "pegged" as Depressed from day one and it was Lexapro and more Lexapro, Prestiq and more Prestiq... I felt bad, then worse, but she wouldn't listen to me. She never used anything like a screening questionnaire, etc. and that is a BAD SIGN.
My new shrink LISTENED and had a couple of surveys for me to complete and the initial intake visit was extensive. If your shrink doesn't do that on day one - BEWARE!
As this lady says, it is a "partnership"... doctor-patient.
