  • I have one she bites a lot though

  • I recognize this, it's the lights of the football field of Brooklyn College. it's worth the trip to see it. many parrots live under these light real cool

  • i luv my quakers, they r vicious, but they r cute, lol

  • Oooh..I love quakers, I've raised almost every kind of parrot and exotic birds yet the clown Quakers are just the best ever! They are hated so many areas around the globe and killed as they are considered pests, thank you for loving them..so smart, so loving and cute.

  • Wow...I have a 5 month old Quaker and I didn't realize you could find them just in the wild like that in the States.I live in Canada though.

  • i'd prefer feral parrots to pigeons anyday

  • I just love seeing them wild like this and they look so healthy too! Beautiful!

  • What kind/model camera are you using for the footage?

  • I'm using the Sony HDR-HC3. It's a small camera that shoots HD and DV format. I shoot everything in HD now, because it gives me more flexibility (some of these clips will likely wind up in a long-form film I'm making on the parrots). I also use a 5X teleconverter to get the close-ups. The teleconverter is great but, as you can see, I have to do a "transitional" fade between the wide-angle zooms and the teleconverted close-ups.
