  • i am going to try to make this myself looks tasty

  • ...there is rice into the recipe(wild rice!!!),but this "sarmale" is a kind of mixed between Gyuza-chinese "sarmale" and the traditional romanian recipe !!! anyway, the result is excelent ! just try it !

  • Hi malalt38,

This is a traditional romanian recipe (except for the ginger thing). Thanks for the comment.

  • i know that,i'm romanian too...anyway ,good work !...maybe you should try to cook "mamaliga","balmosh" and "mici",another famous romanian recipes...not any holiday without them...

  • Hi malalt38,

Nice of you to suggest on the delightful dishes. We will look on that... thanks and more power to you!

  • Hi angiestylo1,

You cannot perfect the cooking with the first try so keep on practicing. Reminder: Don't Overcook! Thanks for the comment.

  • Hi mamicafericita,

    Mulţumesc!

  • This is a dish inspired by 2 distinct romanian dishes.... We NEVER mix sauerkraut and vine leaves!!! And ginger does not exist in the romanian cuisine... And the black pepper is missing.... But the music and the intention are nice.

  • Not bad, looks good.

  • Au la Bi-Lo

  • At our house we use minced beef and pork meat, undone rice and the bacon with savory are placed on the top of the stashed sarmale. I guess this is the recipe from Transilvania, but i have never heard of sarmale without rice. I will post the recipe as my mom does it later. Noi folosim carne tocata in amestec de porc cu vita, se foloseste orez, si deasupra punem costita afumata si cimbrul. Cred ca asta de sus e reteta din Ardeal, dar nu am auzit de sarmale fara orez.

  • Hi mazmorris,

    Thanks for the comment.

  • @mazmorris nici pe de parte, is ardelean si noi folosim orez, lipsa sa e pentru fraierii care nu stiu sa gateasca

not even close, i'm transilvanian and we do use rice, taking it out is only for losers who don't know how to kook

  • nice background music

  • Hi normatld,

Thanks for the acknowledgement. You can try viewing the other videos of JUAN's PUTAHEs. More power to you!

  • jeez i wonder how much calories are in one lol. the price of great food i guess:p

  • Hi vcacoon,

One thing is for certain, SARMALE will always be in the hearts of the Romanians and to all people who love its taste (no matter how much calories there are).

    Thanks for the comment.

  • not that many as in a mcdonald's hamburger;)

  • Hey John,

Nice to see this video. Anyway the recipe is 80% close to the authentic one. Ginger is something very unusual in the Romanian cuisine.

    Cheers(Noroc!)

  • Hi Traiannn,

You are right with the Ginger thing. Thanks for the comment.
