  • I know this vid is old but ^.^.. Fuckin bitch who the fuck do u think u r .-. this vid is fkin racist I have a small Spanish accent & im proud of it cuz i speak Spanish which gave me more opportunities to find a job because i'm bilingual.. I really don't have any problems with my accent everybody understands me perfectly & i dont think theres a problem in having a different type of accent.. Cuz that makes me unique & not just another fkin american (no offence *.*). Yea bitch in yer face .-.

  • haha anyone have tips to lose my american accent? im trying to be fluent in thai but i sound like a white guy trying to speak thai.

  • What are you talking about?! What about those southern rednecks? Half the time you can't understand what they're saying, and they're born and raised in this country. For example: "wail, ah think i'm gonna paias the tadaz and give it to the hougs instid." Maybe you should start with them and their accent. Take a look at your own back yard for a change.

  • America is my heart, always has been and always will be. There is nothing make me more mad that people difine me by my accent. I always told people, there is two think matter what your passport say's wich says british and what your heart say and my heart say America.

  • If people can't even understand you at all then it would make it very hard to get a good job, so the effort to improve your speaking voice is to your own advantage. A subtle accent is fine tho, even refreshing.

  • I was born in the US but i still have a pretty thick accent. How about that

  • nico bellic

  • I don't like her accent. After 8 years:))))))

  • This is great!

Just like she says, accent reduction really makes a difference. It helps to understand others, to be understood, to be seen as smart as you are and it also improves your spelling.

I experienced a big difference after taking phonetic classes.

  • Long lives America. Long lives W. We love Jesus. Death for the Taliban. Let's roll!

  • What;s this video got to do with Jesus and Taliban? You must be one of those uneducated dumb ass southern hicks...

  • This thing is so ridiculous. It's just trying to whitewash America.

  • everyone in the world has an accent. we do not all saound the same so why is the american accent so important

  • Well, that blond girl, Svetlana, has such a strong Russian accent, that I don't think anyone would ever take her seriously! LOL

  • 3:30 her English is horrible though!

  • its funny how americans think that every other country in the world has 'accents' and american english is perfect .........

  • yes, it is!

    Best place in the world!

  • how silly... I am sure your are from US. I will not say "American", because America comprehends from Alaska to Patagonia...

  • accent: ''a way of pronouncing words that indicates the place of origin or social background of the speaker'' according to dictionary. So only cause some1s from america doesnt mean they dont have an accent. The way americans talk, thats an accent as well! So, just before you make fun of british/indian/aussie accent, remember, american's have accent too!

ps. im not from america, i worked there for a while though.

  • What? She sounds like a native speaker for me... Man this just makes me desperate... I think I never gonna lose my accent.

  • i love accents, people should work on it only for public speaking so that they can be easily understood, thats it.

  • axactlly right. im trying to be an actor but ppl give me shit about my accent.

  • u should only work on being understood, i think accents make ppl really special :D

  • hmm i need to lose my accent really badly lmfao!

  • how do you see the next program

  • does it work

  • This video's obviously a load of bollocks, the woman still has an American accent at the end!

  • The only acceptable accent in America is European or West African accent. The truth is, if you have a thick Arab, Hindu, Asian or Hispanic accent, you'll get discriminated against.

  • agreed

  • Yes, all of which are crude and ugly sounding accents.

  • mean

  • I have brazilian accent =T

i speak like gisele bundchen(no idea how to spell)

  • Nah!Americans care more if you speak English well enough to communicate and be understood. What Americans get upset about are those who want to live here but don't make an effort to speak English. Hispanics are notorious for this. Most would prefer to speak Spanish and expect to be catered to. Hello?!!This is America.Learn English and you won't be discriminated against.

  • @ijoMon That's very true!

  • @ijoMon Anyone in the US with a thick accent, including Americans, will be turned down in favor of someone who speaks clearly. When you speak a language poorly you have no right to expect to be taken seriously.East Asians/Indians have prospered in the US because we trust them.Discrimination against them is rare.Hispanics rarely bother to learn English when they come to the US-therefore they lose out.Europeans with strong accents are not accepted either, they get lousy jobs if they don't speak well.

  • @ijoMon yes, it's sad but kinda true...

  • @ijoMon Howbout You ENGLISH SPEAKERS try speaking our Asian language! That's right! you will get discriminated! >:P I know you're talking about "IN AMERICAN" but same goes for ASIA! :P

  • @ijoMon that is the most racist thing i have ever heard but you are so fucking right. but still this video is racist shit lol
