I try to do this a lot, but it gets hard if I'm either on the phone, or talking over Skype. We both wait for a moment to see if it's our turn to talk, and then we start talking again! XD
Still, it's good advice. Switching topics towards yourself just seems selfish. But people who don't have much faith in their own conversational skills might end up thinking lots about how they're going to relate to the person they're talking to, thus talking about self. >.<

Does the woman's IQ count for something? Because usually, I have the best conversations with women who are matched with me(in the 130s or so).

Sometimes you just have to know when to call it quits, if the female doesn't like you then you have to live with it. I listen so much that I will know a young ladies life story in 10 minutes and she will only know my name. I make sure that im not being a push over and not agree with everything they say. Yet in the end you can follow the guidelines all you want but the female will simply not want to be around you. I don't even bother trying to meet anyone anymore. Pointless if you ask me.

My advice to you is to listen more to the likes of David Wygant or David Deangelo. Take it from someone who went from never scored to all of a sudden being stalked constantly by women at the age of 26! Girls don't know what they want.

@dannysquirrel Actually I've just altered my search. I agree, that it's not very productive to mirror one person's expectations of a desired partner, but I'm definitely looking into woman who can satisfy me more intellectually.
And as for dating advice period, I just genuinely don't pay attention. Every situation and psychological fulfillment requires different things of people, and you've got to cater to that, regardless of what works and what doesn't.

This is good advice, but I doubt women in general are experts in conversation.
Problems I see in forums and comments is that guys want to know exactly what to say to a girl. When you cannot do that, then you either don't know yourself or what you want in a relationship. I guess it could mean you do not know how to talk to people. But if you can get along with people and make friends, then it should not bee too tough.

I try to do this a lot, but it gets hard if I'm either on the phone, or talking over Skype. We both wait for a moment to see if it's our turn to talk, and then we start talking again! XD
Still, it's good advice. Switching topics towards yourself just seems selfish. But people who don't have much faith in their own conversational skills might end up thinking lots about how they're going to relate to the person they're talking to, thus talking about self. >.<

Does the woman's IQ count for something? Because usually, I have the best conversations with women who are matched with me(in the 130s or so).
For the record, I don't do well socially with those who are at average. Different ways of thinking can conflict sometimes. But at least I'm a very introspective listener! I suppose Jessica here would find that helpful.
